IDK. The CM2000 or smth for me is pretty good against the tintans and some other mutants. Just a few accurate headshots and it goes down very easily. I always pick it up against the bosses.
It's true there's no space to use sniper rifles, but there's actually no need for sniper rifles in general in here. If you can get rid of all the zombies without coming close to them, then there's no need to make it an H game unless you're trying to play super seriously.
Also headshots give more damage to the enemy, try headshotting tintans with CM2000, you'll see what I mean. They die pretty easily when you land your shots correctly. Sometimes I kill them barely when they arrive in the field despite them supposedly being mid bosses.
As for the vitality problems, you just need more skills. True they're level locked so you need to level up your character but honestly the game is meant to be slightly more challenging at the beginning.
What I recommend is maxing health, recovery speed and recovery rate. In general all related to health.
While recovering with maxed health recovery rate: at a single time you heal them and (I think) yourself up to 100% HP whether you're landing the goods/perfects or not. While landing them you get their buff power up to a max, yours up to 50%.
Increasing your max health to 200 can also help you. You basically have some health to tank the zombies, when taking damage from zombies you build your vitality. Ofc you can just take skill to restore vitality over time but I think it's a waste.
If you combine sage mode skill with maxed health, during your buff active the health increases to a whopping 300 points!
After you lose buff it goes down to 200 but before that some zombies are gonna take it down anyway. If not, you're still at max health.
If you heal up to 200 HP and activate sage mode it just heals up to 300 automatically so the synergy of health regen, regen speed and health boost is just nicely complemented by sage mode.
Also sage mode makes all hits in the enemy's body count as a headshot... no you don't get more points, but you deal damage as if it's a headshot. Does it deal 4 times the damage if it's a real headshot? I dunno, but maybe that's the reason why tintans are dying so quick for me
Overall, it's a those three skills on the top + steel body complement each other very nicely.
These skills are actually not that useful in the act 13 though so keep that in mind. Maybe restore vitality over time would be better if you need more vitality right there.
Restore vitality over time is actually good, but I think it's a waste. Why a waste? Because with my current set of skills I can take a lot of damage, charge my vitality up to a max and still have half of my HP or something.
Ofc they're high level skills but who wants to become op from level 1?
If you're still having trouble getting vitality at low level and getting swarmed by zombies, try this skill

it makes you earn vitality every time you melee enemy so just get a melee button on your mouse or somewhere you can reach and use it a lot.
And remember, having your vitality high and recovering often invites more vitality as the girls can use their skills to protect you and each other so if you heal them up but end with low vitality, just get damaged by some zombie and heal right back up. As you can get even 3 vitality rounds for the damage but heal it all while using just one at higher level.
Also the girls having their buff active means they deal with every wave pretty easily, just make sure they don't get jumped by a mutant or when they're surrounded throw a nade at them.
Also yes firework launcher is dumb and pretty much useless. Your better choise is a watergun or a dakimakura
