Ok, so you're a bisexual (dude I assume) but you need to have both straight and gay scenes in the same game to enjoy it?

That's kind of setting yourself up for disappointment. I have a couple of different fetishes that I really like but I don't expect every game to cover all of them for me to have a good time.
Kinda think you're missing their point mate. Bisexuals like both so if a game has both they're going to like it so when people complain because it's not all women that affects them just as much and is going to be just as annoying. I' bisexual and it is difficult to find games that let you fuck both so to the have people come in and bitch is aggrevating There's also a world of difference between a fetish and your orientation. It'd be the equivalent of a game having no women compared to games not letting you suck their toes. Ones the basis of attraction and sexuality the other is a kink.

Have you ever watched porn tagged for bi men? It's either threesomes were the two guys fool around or a guy has straight and then gay sex in two consecutive scenes. Part of the sexuality is not about "I'm fine with either" but rather "I want to explore both"

I was tempted to just facepalm your post right back but I'm not that petty.

Couple of things...
1. I'm not bisexual so I can only go by scientific definitions and not speak from personal experience. I'm not going to roll out the Kinsey scale or some shit like that but needing both straight and gay content at the same time for sexual gratification seems more selective than what is commonly associated with bisexuality.
2. I didn't complain about the content, I was asking a question. There's some scenes in SoC that I like, some that I tolerate and some that I avoid or click through if I can't avoid them. Works just fine for me.
3. Considering how extreme and exclusive certain fetishes get I wouldn't try to draw a hard line between fetish and orientation in this context. Obviously it's not the same category but some people only manage to get off under very specific circumstances and are arguably much more limited in porn, games, art and real life than gays or bisexuals.

No and I've not said that or said it's necessary for me but it does mean I love games that have both because obviously I would (also yep bi guy). SOC is already like that and I'm responding to someone that wants less focus on men and futa. I don't go to straight games and ask for guys to be placed in it or gay games and ask for women be added for example.

However, when a game does let me be with both genders it is GREATLY appreciated as both sides of my attraction are right there. Basically they're a lot of fun for me. So there's a sea of straight games, a few gay games and a handful that allow both. You get straight people unhappy with the last ones and ask for anything non straight to be scaled back, not focused on or more rarely even removed. This is despite there often been a lot of straight scenes.

I don't feel it's unreasonable to like games that let me be with both men and women, especially considering how rare it is and the fact I like both. I also don't feel it's unreasonable to find it a little strange and unfair for straight people to ask for the handful of games that do have that to scale it back for more straight stuff despite there already been straight stuff in that game and most games already focusing on it. There shouldn't be anything wrong with a game that tries to satisfy multiple orientations (so long as the option to avoid stuff is there obviously). Do you see where I'm coming from? It invokes a feeling of can't you share this one with us dudes :).

As i mentioned before don't worry. Devs here don't listen to those "eww" people about how to make their own game.(y)

In the end that is what matters, not what some pirate arm chair dev thinks is the best for the game.

Alright, that makes more sense.
I was quite surprised by the sudden wave of won't somebody think of the bisexuals posts when I figured that swinging both ways should make it a lot easier to find suitable content, not harder. Obviously you're allowed to have preferences and I can understand that you enjoy getting the full package in a single game.

As for people barging in and demanding more of content X or less of fetish Y, you're always going to get that with titles that try to attract a more diverse audience. The only time that's an issue is when a vocal minority manages to sway the devs and ruins it for everyone else. Admittedly that has happened on several ocassions in the past but I doubt there's much risk here since the game has been designed with a wide variety of content in mind from the beginning.

It's also about being able to identify with a character. In RPGs, Visual Novels, heck even in porn, people enjoy to a great degree being able to identify with one of the characters. Just because a bi person can enjoy watching either straight or gay sex does not mean they will identify with a straight person or a gold star gay:) It's about having something in common with the characters.

The one thing that is solid in SoC is that Rowan can really choose who he has sex with, at least on a meta level.

Wait I think we're on the same page here.

That's my point why ask for stuff to be removed or not focused on when you can ignore it and enjoy the content that is there for you. In SOC case there is a lot of straight content.
Again, I didn't ask for that. My issues with SoC are mostly unrelated to the sexual content.

I was just surprised that you and others argued on behalf of bisexuals but we already cleared that up.
If you had claimed, for instance, that gay players don't get enough content that isn't furry or Japanese VNs I wouldn't even have commented since that complaint makes perfect sense to me.

I mean, reliable consistent updates and game has just finished arc 1 of 5/6 (?) after 4 or 5 years of development. If in a decade from now the game will be progressing at the same rate of now, more power to the devs. Regardless, personally i hope most of the stuff done for chapter 1 was groundwork, and now things will speed up.

Also, true pirates would prob steal the car
Yeah I like the content, they do put out some content regularly but I cannot fathom how they will ever end at the present pace considering the scope of what they are presenting.

I know you didn't ask for that not aimed at you just the general reaction games with gay/bi get. Yeah, I get what you mean a case of me knowing what I meant about bisexuals but not putting it across well. English isn't my first language some things get lost.

I really do wonder why so many gay games are furry. Just seems to be a thing with porn games I guess.

You know what, that makes a whole lot more sense to me.
Being able to identify with the main character is pretty damn important to me as well, at least in certain games. If you need the MC to be bi to allow yourself to live through them then I can't really argue against that.

edit:
On an unrelated note, just googled what a "gold star gay" is. The more you know I guess. Can't wait to drop that into a casual conversation at some point.

In terms of gameplay it would be nice to do some rework of certain things. I would say the inventory and status being the big ones. It always feels like you can go through the whole thing without ever levelling up or buying any new items (hell for the longest time I didn't even realise you could level up!). The increase in certain skills do help a bit with some rolls but only barely, there aren't really many situations where you can't advance if you fail a roll and sometimes you can just try again the next day. The skills themselves, I think a few of them could just be squished into a singular skill that utilises them under one theme, Bluff and Deceive and Sleight of Hand could for instance be an overall 'Deception' skill. That's just my opinion though. At the end of the day if there's a choice between doing that or putting more scenes and content in the game I'm definitely for the latter.

My conspiracy theory is that there must be a ton of really rich gay furries out there because there is an impressive number of artists doing gay furry scenes and getting paid for them.

Supply and demand my dude. That small populace of gay furries will play good money for that kinda content.

Through sheer motherfucking stubborness.

The development of act 1 stutters at times, because of some early design mistakes. Fae implementation in particular is taking a lot of behind the scenes rework to provide a satisfying act 1 experience.

That's just how it is. As the game progresses, we learn from our past mistakes, and avoid pitfalls when designing new content. If we're smart about it, it will be smooth sailing later on.

Skill rework has finished design phase and is now slowly being implemented. Due to the sheer volume of events being adjusted, and the necessity to code both new content and rework old events, it's simply taking a while.

Honestly, you probably just need more people. But it's definitely a risky proposition. Perhaps you'd need more forms of fundraising.

That's not a conspiracy theory, that's what's actually happening. It's not even subtle, there's so much money coming out of the gay furry community that it's hard to find decent western gay 2D porn that ISN'T furry.

So can you kill them two demons and is the NTR avoidable and i mean real avoidable like you can stop it from happening and it does not just happen in the back ground.
Not yet (eventually). Yes. Yes.

We're looking into it, alas, the entry requirement for writing SoC long term is:
a) Your soul.
b) Your will to live.

And that's both, not one or the other.

Both.
