wow, after playing that update I was going to go all scorched earth on you cause there was no way to prevent her from being killed, but then i actually read the comments first and it calmed me down to find out there are deaths for different girls and not just the path I played, now I will have to go back and make different choices for different outcome, I also like a good revenge story even if its dark, you could make it blurry or skippable but i would want to see at the end of the game the mc with Peters help catch the rapist murderer and in a fight Peter gets killed but that gives mc an opening to kill rapist and then with an ax, we behead him, put the head in a bowling ball bag with the cell phone and take it to mr finchs house knock on his door and ask him has he seen his son? when he says no he doesnt know where he is, say why dont you try calling his cell and then it would ring inside the bag, he would unzip the bag and see the head inside and then he would have a heart attack and die.Thank you. This is a very valuable post for me. When I was talking about feeling that I'm "in over my head" before the chapter released, I was, in large part, referring to playthroughs like yours when many of the reactions to the events don't make much sense. There are definitely situations that need to be branched out more to match the tone to the events that transpired, but by the time I was done writing and rendering everything that already is in Chapter 8, my brain was mush, and I couldn't force myself to do more.
I hope I'll find the time and brainpower to iron out these inconsistencies (including Joseph) before the Steam release, but, as always, that doesn't help the players who are going through the game right now. Apologies for the subpar experience.
They don't affect anything in the past and were meant to establish a personality baseline for the present timeline and determine which options you'll have access to. As for how often that will come into play, I can't say at the moment.
