He had a history of disappearing, writing apologies about having been sick and suddenly dropping a new update. It's been a really long time since the last one, so I wouldn't expect him to come back at this point.
I don't know if he was stressed out and having anxiety, just got bored of his project, or if he was really having more serious issues.
I like his games as well.

Last I heard from him his work kept sending him out of the country at short notice but he always got back to us when he returned previously
OK look he is has not updated this game in over 2 years. He does not have a patron page or subscribestar. He is never ever going to update this game again and on top of that the younger sister and those characters look about 13 years old which would be kiddie porn patron is not going to let this game continue on their side. and if he was coming back to this down the road he would have at least said something on one of these sites in the last 2+ years. Let it go this is never happening.

Given there's a million Big Brother clones it's a shame no ones tried to make anything in the same worlds as this as the idea wasn't bad, they could take over where it left off or new characters, new city sort of thing like the Company did

This was the game that really got me rock hard like i love the way she getting harassed but damn. Even before, they had lots of commission unfinished due to them promoting that specific tier get to request special renders, either to just themselves or added to the game but then woosh! The dev just vanished into oblivion. Good times, good times
I still have a NPC that was supposed to be in the game for winning one of the contests.
Agreed. I think the same story, capped at rated R and focused on the puzzles, could do well as a casual game.

Does anyone knows what happen to Serio. I know that was some complication with covid19 back then

I think that he got either burned out or too depressed to continue this game. I DM'ed with him a few times, and I know he switched to the school stories with Grace because he couldn't get himself in the mood to create more puzzles for Selena. My impression was that he was suffering from either clinical depression or chronic fatigue, but there was no indication that he had a serious health (or mental health) problem. In fact, the likeliest scenario in my mind is that he dropped game development for the sake of his mental health (he was horribly embarrassed by the idea he was letting his patrons down) and just never came back (at least in part because of the embarrassment of having to explain why he had left). He is a sensitive soul.
Serio was obviously a great liar (the excuses he gave...), but that's kind of forgivable because by adult game standards he was a great story teller. Don't think he died or something as a real person though. Just faced a dead end because couldn't put up with all the requests or couldn't go on like White Raven with A New Dawn (never ending money making machine that years ago stopped going anywhere).

Second only to Valiant Warrior Astrid, this is the game I would bring back had I the magic power to resurrect dead games.
