Does it take REALLY long time to start on Mac, or does it freeze? CPU is under a heavy load, but nothing else happens after I hit "New Game"

The PC version runs quite nicely on my macbook using Wine. In fact I never download the mac version of any games from here - I download the pc version and play them with Wine or Parallels (for some RPG maker games). Ren'py for example works great with wine.
I thought this would be a game based on the Jenny Wurts and Raymond E. Fiest book series. Color me disappointed.

Meh still skeptical he may get bored and abandon it, like last one. School of Smut was good I supported it, and tried to promote it a few places, and it got ditched for this I liked it better when mtf was optional, and more of niche of this games. I mean not even sure this is the same guy anymore its like he got replaced, accept my old link to school of smut takes me to his page still.

Never played such kind of game, but for porn it fits really well. It leaves for our imagination to build the images which is not complicated at all .

just downloaded this again and now i remember why i gave up on it last time.
is there a way to fix this?
fullscreen or windowed, all i get is this purple screen when the game starts up.
edit: more great news. >.> (sarcasm)
looks like i can't download the latest public version off patreon cuz my internet connect is so slow the download fails and is NOT resumable. even when using the download manager, Jdownloader 2, which clearly shows the download link as a resumable link it does not work.
as such, every time the download fails it just restarts entirely. could someone please upload the latest version to MEGA or something? somewhere that actually supports pausing/resuming downloads?
honestly...why are non-resumable download links even still a thing at this point? that's just plain stupid. and i guess it also shows an assumption that everyone has great internet which simply isn't true...probably.
so yeah...alternative download link requested if possible.
edit2: nevermind on the alternative download link...this time. it managed to finish this last attempt. now let's see if that purple screen problem was fixed.
