Edit: Links are fixed with AlphaB version which fixes a bug that shows double images when you create your own character.
So yeah, I was building the new modular dialogue system first but it would only truly be tested if it led to a erotic sexy sex scene. So I had to build this erotic sexy sex scene generator that’s modular itself. Essentially, additional dialogue, scenes, descriptors, actions, variations and what not can be plugged in to create greater complexity. I mean… this is nothing new but it was something I couldn’t figure out before, or how to do it my way to have it be modular. What it is currently is mildly impressive but its potential for growth is exciting. I actually had to draw a line on where to stop programming/adding systems/dialogue. A lot of subsystems are half developed and not integrated yet.
So, what it affects is the main dialogue in the morning, in that the dialogue will interweave and flow, leading to various scenes. Currently, only Judy’s morning dialogue with the talk interaction uses the new system. I said before, everything is subject to change but the skeleton that holds up the story is a bit sturdier. I am trying to include ‘porn’ scenarios in the story but get to them in the most, ‘this is such a strange day’ kind of way. Other stories move too fast, jumps logic and are not super descriptive. I mean, if you can suspend your disbelief about seemingly casual incestual sex, then that’s where the Icarus Dragon quality-factor comes in. >
You can get to the sex scenes by creating a character and seeking out your partner in the morning. Below the standard dialogue takes you straight to the scene. It flows well enough but it’s also the first iteration. What’s there is pretty interesting and varied, roughly 10k words to get it as it is. I can already see what I can do better so that’s a plus. The hardest part was the pleasure/orgasm system, I had to rework that one several times.
As this is meant to be realistic, pregnancy is a real consequence. The game will eventually have a conception/fertilization module that will track how often you get your family/your family gets you, pregnant. The consequences will be unseen, just tracked. But honestly conception takes like 1-2 weeks irl but it’s just a “whatever you did today led to conception” kinda idea.
As I said, there are two components to what I’m making, a game and a story. I think I should, eventually, be able to rip out the game aspect of it and just have it be a sex/life simulator without the Jones family or heavy investment in choose-your-own-adventure elements. It will most likely have randomized events but interesting in that it’ll include ‘roles’. Like what your relationship to a particular person changes dialogue, decisions and outcome (including: stranger, sibling, parent, boss, personality quirks, etc).
I’m coming up with a name for it right now and don’t want to boast/tell too much… Well, hope you like what I uploaded today. I have to be upfront about my campaign so you may hear me repeating myself because it’ll be a lot of people’s first time hearing it. Bye from me!
