Correct, and the chances are getting lower with each update. Sunk costs and all that. All the more reasons to settle down on a good game design before pouring considerable efforts into content, polish, and all that stuff. That's what MVPs are for, to lay down a solid foundation as the first step, and do it without wasting resources.

It's fine to like a game, but you have to admit that people that call the game boring have their say, too. It's okay to have low expectations, but then if a game meets them, why is it not valid to slap a 1- or 2-star review and be done?

I've never seen a successful redesign and I agree with you that the core gameplay loop is flawed because there is no player agency or interesting decisions to be made. It's a worse version of a VN because at least in a VN you get dense high quality renders. The authors also seem defensive so I don't have any hopes for this game.

Best to just leave a review and ignore it, but I personally enjoy the drama of game development as much as playing games themselves...

As I understand it, they are in a new version, two scenes have not yet been opened so that people understand it’s worth (PAYING) or just wait for the public version for everyone.

Do you have a dual monitor setup? I was having this issue until I realized my game only opened properly on the side monitor instead of the main one so I just pressed Alt+Enter, moved the screen to the side, Alt+F4, and the reopened it. If not I don't really know how to fix it, other than saying that I did also have this problem
