Yep, I can understand if it's for preferences but I just wish there were more fem MCs in games like these.
For the lot of them:

One of the reasons I've noticed is that lezcest, with a male MC, could be considered NTR, in its broadest definition. Many players don't like any kind of sex that doesn't involve the MC directly and called it NTR if involves a potential LI. So with a male MC, there will be no M/D or S/S if the MC is not involved and, in many cases, even if he is involved. That's why many of the lezcest come from games with a Female MC.
Another reason could be the Patreon ban on incest. To allow lezcest with a male MC the patch will have to cover way more than a simple name or relationship change to fit the story. In many cases, the dev would have to change a good part of the story too, and maybe cut off the lesbian scenes from the "official" version and put in on a patch. This happens in games like Sunshine Love and The Seven Realms for instance. So more work for the dev with not much payback, since many players won't be interested.
