I've been in the Ella/Maddie situation before but with "Maddie" just being a friend, no benefits.

Was starting to hook up with a girl, things were great. "Maddie" in my case is a friend I had known for a few years at that point. There's pictures of us hugging and stuff on social media, all harmless. "Ella" flips the hell out when a new one goes up and I immediately back out of the relationship. No blossoming relationship is worth the loss of a good friend.

I mean to be fair it was literally a first date where they don't know each other that well yet. She only knew what she knew from high school but got the impression she never really talked to him much if at all back then but knew Maddie and had problems with her. So to me after thinking about it like that her pov does make sense since it's too early to have established a good level of trust for something like that especially when you know he has been sleeping with someone she hates for awhile.

I mean I do dislike it don't get me a wrong it is a red flag and hope we can get to the point where they get pas their issues and the MC can at least be friends with Maddie if on Ella's path. Cause tbh im not picking Ella over a friendship with Maddie cause she has been there for the MC for to long to not be friends with her because the MC is interested in a girl.

Oh, she's definitely allowed to have her view. But that said, still, if you do not trust someone alone with your significant other (outside of suspecting them to be date rapist druggers) then yeah, there's not much to build a relationship on...

I do NOT however agree that she's "allowed" to simply DEMAND that someone cuts off important people from their past.

I'm still friends (Or at least mostly friendly, more than just polite) with most my exes (the not loopy ones, not including the mother of my children, she's cut off by both my kids and me) and my GF since 15 years hate her ex husband's guts, so it's no issue (If they'd be cool I'd not mind'em at all, like some of my exes' exes I'm friends with). I do however rarely chat to the one (not counting psycho) that my GF DOES have an issue with... Because their issue means I dislike her a tad myself, so... More polite "Hi" and holiday greetings... But then we've moved about 2000 km's away from most of my exes across Europe, so..... Not much of an issue anyhow anymore...

exactly this and why I put Ella as main path #2 with a condition I don't have to drop Maddie. I'm fine with her bad mouthing her cause she doesn't like her but if she goes crazy on the MC for something harmless or makes me decide friendship or her im picking friendship everytime

I haven't had to make a decision yet on my solo path save so far it's just words no real decision to make from it yet. ( Maddie is a friend and not FWB here) Which is why im hoping we can help her get past her issues so there is no such decision. There is only an issue if you are on both paths right now

I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying you think Nebula is gonna pull some bait and switch where you're gonna tell Ella that you want to date her but also keep your friendship with Maddie? I don't see it happening.

This is just a classic exclusive style choice to help route content. Ella's ultimatum means future scenes don't have to worry about a MC interacting with both.

This is just a classic exclusive style choice to help route content. Ella's ultimatum means future scenes don't have to worry about a MC interacting with both.

I get what you're saying but it feels a little too happy ending for me. Ella has a strong reservation about Maddie so forcing an ultimatum only to drop it later just so MC can hang out with Maddie again takes away much of why the ultimatum is there in the first place.

I hope I got you right, so there is no Ella path where you don't break up with Maddie, you either do this before going on a date with Ella, or after she gives you an ultimatum, in this case as I already said, if you go on a date with Ella I think Maddie will just disappear, otherwise Ella breaks up with you regardless of your decision about FWB on Maddie date, there is also path where Maddie breaks up with you, that's different

I agree with this to some extent. For me It depends if there is a deeper story with her dislike and if it's something that can be resolved due to a misunderstanding or something else. So depending on the full story behind it I can see the ultimatum not being a big deal for me if it's dropped if it is something Ella can get past or forgive. ( which is what im hoping for). But yeah if it's something more serious or unforgiveable to Ella than I would agree with you 100%

Yeah same I would not pick Ella over Maddie that is when her save would become a content save for me.

I just kind of have low LP with her as in saying no whenever she wants to hangout or have sex. So maybe it's just as you said she just goes away expect for where it makes sense. But with that ultimatum is why I was kind thinking I would have to make that decision on the solo save since I don't recall it happening but could be low LP with Maddie just means it's made for me.

But after this conversation I realized there is a small chance it could be bug cause I actually never got around to recreating all my saves and I remember seeing something how we should redo all our saves. Tho I did redo my Maddie one with the bug fix files in the last update , and I think that is also when I created my Ella save too not 100% sure on that. so I didn't think it mattered but it might.

got it, I think AlexMpog mentioned there wasn't any option to break up with Maddie before going on a date with Ella at first, it was added later, so maybe you just played that version?
also to get this break up choice you have to ignore Maddie whenever she texts you and asks to hang out

Well, I’m pretty sure ND added option to end FWB with Maddie early on, back during beta testing, so any version posted here should've already had it (though I might be wrong).
You just have to ignore her enough to trigger it. From what I remember I had to reject her at least 4 times (which hurt me deeply, btw), starting with not inviting her to your new apartment after moving in with Lena. Eventually, you’ll get this choice:

I remember only getting that scene on my Jennie save so I thought it was exclusive to her path. Maybe I did hangout once or twice and just said no to sex and that was enough to not end it not sure. I'll find out when I redo my saves probably tomorrow or tonight

There was a patreon beta version that didn't have that option (it was only up for about 24 hours before being replaced) and didn't ever get here.

Yeah, decided to switch. I liked Jennie, Maddie, and Lena equally but for different reasons - yep, even Ms "you’re lucky to have my pussy" . Ella was the most attractive imo so I had her in my SIG, but nah, off she goes, now it’s other girls’ turn. I started to really like Jennie after this update - best "sister" you could dream of, hahah, so damn sweet, so I put her instead. Maddie is probably my #3 for now. I have always seen her more as a great friend than a GF, but that might change once we actually start going on dates, finally.
