Just found an old backup, I think i had the same problem. I dont know if i managed to fix it, but i will look into it.

BTW. you might want to edit your save manually anyways:
Pre 1.0 saves somtimes have a bug, where the ice palace fairy is bad-ended, even if you save her. This has a major impact in the final showdown.
If you saved her, but dont see her in the final showdown, here is how to fix it:
Open the your save-file (Use Notepad, or something similar). Change these variables manually, and it *should* be fixed
Bad-end:
tirafree="2.000000"
tiralove="0.000000"
Good-end:
tirafree="1.000000"
tiralove="1.000000"

And if you want to copy a ex. save1, as save2, to try a diffrent path. Here is how to do it:
You have to BOTH:
Copy the save and rename it to save2.sav
and
Use Notepad to edit it manually, at Look at the top of the file, it has a
