Ngl some aspects of this game leave me highly confused, such as the "college", which I assume to be more of a community college, basically just being highschool and makes me wonder why the author didn't just make this take place in highschool since I guarantee that most people would not give a damn. There is also a black woman using a tanning bed, which just strikes me as incredibly odd

Boy you must not know the internet (or human societies) very well if you think that it's not necessary to make some things purposefully confusing just in case. Gives yourself arguments against potential holier-than-thou virtuous fake knights in shining armor you can stumble upon at literally every corner.

That was actually a fun one to ask gpt, not gonna lie. Yes, black people can "tan" for multiple reasons: it increases the production of vitamin D, and it can be good to just improving mood (so literally it feels good). Also even darker skin can get "slightly" richer or develop a "glow" from tanning.
