I hadn't played in a while, probably missed about three updates, but I finally did, and I enjoyed it. The whole planning arc with the dad was pretty cool. Still, I have a few important thoughts:
- How could Ava, who can literally read the MC’s mind, not find out about his plan to deal with her? The excuse is that he only thinks about it when he's out of his body, but that’s just impossible! Try it yourself: try not to think about a red elephant right now. You will anyway, hahaha.
- So besides hiding the fact that he knows about Ava, the MC also sets up this whole elaborate plan to deal with her. Then out of nowhere, he wants to go on a trip to a very specific location and coincidentally meets a woman there who can nullify powers, and Ava doesn’t suspect a thing?
- So what do I actually believe is going on? Either Ava is incredibly dumb, which doesn’t seem to be the case, or she’s known everything for a long time and is just pretending. But why would she do that? Simple: she wants to get to the MC’s father. She’s setting up a trap for him because he’s the only one who can stop her. Then, when the time is right, she’ll take full control over the MC, since she technically could’ve done it already.
- So here’s what I think is going to happen: she’s going to take over the MC, defeat his father, but something, or someone, is going to stop her. I have no idea what exactly, but I do find that blond agent from the agency, the one who saved us during the trial, very intriguing. He probably knows everything that’s going on and is pulling all the strings behind the scenes.
1) While true in the real world, there is some suspension of disbelief. The way it is presented in the universe Ava doesn't read his mind completely, just his active thoughts. A good example is during one of Scarlett's quests where Ava is directly asking the MC if his head is empty, because she can't see his thoughts, but at that point he simply isn't thinking clearly.
2) There are some hints that Ava suspects something. Notice her "!" during the quest. Definitely her being suspicious.
3) Remember you know more than Ava. She isn't aware of the father or that the MC recovered the memory of her telling her plan. Unless she planned to faking hiding the memories, because she knew the MC would find out and hatch a plan that involved his father, which seem beyond far fetched, then she doesn't know that the MC is aware of her betrayal.
4) The agent that "saved" you is clearly an antagonist and the only way I can perceive him aiding in stopping Ava, is because he wants to neutralize that power. He is not there to help you and he also wants to get hold of the MC's father. Quite a gambit if he actively helps you get Ava, even though he should have little reason to know of her.
