VN - Ren'Py - Shattered [v0.21] [Yeda Games]

One of the best if not the best gay and sissification game I've seen on this site. I usually hate when people jump into a thread and claim that isn't for them or otherwise complain about it, but on a review I think it's more relevant, the entire point is the reviewer's experience and observations.

Personally, I'm not a fan of either. I'd still have given this 5 stars though for the content, because the content is purely subjective preference, and I don't think it's fair to remove stars for not liking the content--the question is how well is it executed?

Here there is loads of content, a deep dive, plenty of variation and a wide cast.

What I didn't like is while there was plenty of stuff, and there were plenty of routes, there wasn't really much variation in routes. I'm not a stickler for consent in video games, the setting and story are designed with things being forced on the MC. But within those routes some variation, at least more variation, would have been preferable in my eyes, and that's where I knock the star off.

Make no mistake though, if you happen to love the specific kinks and scenario, again mostly cross dressing, sissification, gay content, overall femdom in that vein, then this is a treasure trove of a game for you. I'd always wondered why more games did not take inspiration and influence from it.

Good art where the transitioning MC doesn’t immediately look like a hot supermodel. Helps with immersion imo.
Writing skill is better than average.

So close to being a really good game for this genre.

So why only two stars?

The Primary Bad -
It’s ridiculously long-winded to the point readers can simply lose interest. So much of the writing is inner-thoughts of the MC about the most mundane things that don’t really help the story along, nor does it help display the depth of any of the characters (unless you just want to know the MC spends a stupid amount of time stressing over unimportant things).

The Secondary Bad -
The relationships with other characters never made sense to me. The love affair with the first guy you meet (don’t remember many names as I eventually couldn’t stand reading anymore and just started click-hunting for scenes) didn’t feel natural at all. After reading all of that drivel, I thought perhaps I missed some important scene which showed how I might’ve missed how I had arrived there, but it wasn’t the case. It was the same for many of the other relationships. You’d make a selection and it would lead you down a path that wasn’t remotely your intention when making that choice. I’m not talking about external factors driving that result; I’m talking about your own resulting feelings due to that choice.

The developer has writing talent, that’s clear. However, the structure just isn’t there. If the intent was to make a novel rather than a game, I’m just not invested in the characters, nor has the author made me see the resulting scenes through the eyes of the various characters. If the intent was to make a game, the result is even worse.

I know a lot of people have rated this game very highly, and on my first play through a few years ago, I was really impressed as well. But over time, it’s gotten much worse, and much more tedious.

Easily the best sissification /corruption VN I've ever seen. IT IS MASSIVE! Multiple, multiple paths (only downside is that it can be way too easy to get locked in a certain path or to miss something without an opportunity to course correct).

The writing and editing are top notch. The renders are amazing. Add that the MC sort of develops a fetish for hosiery hits me right in the center.

Spend the time to DL all the parts and take a few months to play all the routes. Make sure you get the walk through as well, it is a requirement.

More like a graphic interactive novel.
Graphically, psychologically, according to the scenario, the development of events is done very well. There are subsidences in the narrative, not too much variability, but these issues are not critical.
My personal rating, a grumpy and rarely highly appreciative person, is 8 out of 10.

None of these fetishes interest me but because it was clear on page 1 that everything is optional I decided to try it out.

The renders are nice, the Li's are attractive and the sex scenes are good.

The story and writing are excellent and the pacing is perfect. The characters are real and enjoyable.

You have to pick paths and make the right choices and the walk-through is perfect for navigating that. Most of the choices were instinctual but I would have made some mistakes without it. All fetishes and sex scenes are optional if you make the right choices.

I stopped at the end of ACT VI but I greatly enjoyed the visual novel. This is the first game that I've played that handled the Feminisation of the MC really well. Since these kinks don't interest me I will not follow it but in the future I will keep an out out for the creators next work to see if it is more along my lines.

Played lot of games but didnt write a comment before, but this is so good to stay silent. Tried playing all paths and they were too many than i expected. Renders are good, dialogues are elaborated Anndd developers team still improving. Please, keep up good work ❤

Maybe a little bit too much [Blake thinks this and considers that in is mind and feels this or that...and makes sarcastic coments] here and there, I do usually prefer that "don't tell it - show it" thing. And some parts of the story are a bit lengthy. And in order to really find every path, you need a walkthrough. Because you easily could lock some paths with one single wrong answer.

But besides this, this VN is one of the best sissification/feminization VN ever made. And by far the best one here on f95zone. I really like that MC is not just suddenly a mindless sissy craving for sex , just after one hypno session - but has some depth. And feels "real" in his behavior somehow. I also like that he (at least in some paths) Blake still likes to stay at least partially male - but with a big feminine side. That just feels so natural. Also the other characters have "live" and are not just paper cuts and stereotypes. Plus most other storyline elements in the vn are not just a deus ex machina thing to show porn, they just make sense. Really great story writing.

Good, Blake maybe could be more often be locked or "forced" (in a sensual way) in rubber/latex dresses or catsuits/gimpsuits (or other costumes) and chastity by someone at least in some paths that are a little D/s and BDSM directed, there maybe could be a little more.. playful public humiliation in some paths, but that is just my personal taste. If the author prefers a more vanilla style on those chars, that is totally fine too
Would give that vn 6 out of 5 stars if that was possible, because this one really deserves.

Super expansive and amazingly well-written, this game is a real gem and features a vast variety of fetishes, so there really is something for (almost) everyone in there. Loved the storyline, the characters and the worldbuilding, really worth your time and there's lot of variations to the routes.

Oh this game...

This game has great visuals and ticks most of my boxes kink-wise but my mind slides off of it every time I play. I recently discovered that there's a (absurdly large) walkthrough that makes it clear that there are distinct paths through the game. This came as a bit of a revelation as, despite playing through the game 3 or 4 times, I have never felt that I had any control over my character or the choices they were making. One time I'd play through and be a straight guy, then I'd play through and become a transgirl, then an out-and-out sissy. It all seemed both completely random and utterly weightless as there was no real emotion to any of the story beats.

The problem is that the choices are buried in hundreds of pages and dozens of characters, none of which really sticks in the mind. There's also so much content here that the narrative just continues on and on with no shape or focus. Rather than telling a story, there's this weird churn where characters disappear, reappear, hate you, love you, and it all feels overwhelming and unengaging.

I salute the dev's prolific writing ability and the fact that updates come relatively often but if it turned out that this game was based upon an AI churning out dialogue at random, I would not be in the least bit surprised. It's like a really-well produced and incredibly long visual novel written by alien who has never actually encountered a story.

Nice art, attractive people, the writing is coherent it's just... so long winded. Beyond long winded. This is a visual novel and not in a good way. I can read a long book and enjoy it, but you make me click for every sentence like some kind of lunatic and it quickly becomes annoying. Not to mention I'm here for some adult entertainment and it's barely to be found here. I feel like the people who really, really like this would be better served just reading an actual book.

exceptional writing & memorable characters
the way your choices influence the mc's development and 'inner voice' is hugely sophisticated
heaps of fetishes - you can play as straight (femdom), bi or gay, as a cis sissy or a trans girl
all of the characters are very different from each other, both aesthetically and personality wise, with different backstories, and their connections between each other are also multilayered
there's a lot going on, and at first it can take a while to see how the choice system makes sense, but once you've gotten into it it's a very rewarding game

This game is exactly what I had been looking for and didn't know it. If you are interested in the world of being a sub/sissy this is a really erotic adventure with a lot of content. I can't wait to see how far this goes.

Definitely one of the best games not only in its genre but in the entire category of 18+ games. To rate less than 5 would be unfair, at least because of the huge work that the author has already done.
This game includes both an interesting character story and her non-linear passage with a huge number of RPG options. A lot of fetishes for every taste. Dozens of interesting characters with their own history with which you can interact as you like.
Undoubtedly the game is worth your attention and I will be looking forward to new updates

It's impressive that with the amount of writing here it's all very cohesive and compelling. It really works as a visual novel and not just text to take it from one scene to the next. I actually want to keep reading for the story as much as I want to see the next excellent scene. The feminisation journey is brought out well and it's all so sexy. So much content in it already too. Reading through the walkthrough just blows me away with how much content and different routes there are.

This is pretty much a book, There is way too much text, unless you're into doing some heavy reading don't get this game.

however, just because I don't like reading that much in a porn game doesn't mean everyone else do too. overall the models are nice, and the story can be intriguing if you are invested in it.

There is also a shit-ton of content, so overall the game isn't bad, but it's not something that everyone can get into.

Holy christ is this game long

Its very rare i can complain that a western visual novel is too damn long but this is for certain one example of that. You play as a guy who gets turned into femboy. And then you work as a maid for a lady. Then you meet a bunch of people, some you have sex with some you watch have sex.

But the problem is that you are a femboy. So you see a sexy lady you wanna fuck but nope cant do it because you have tiny dick. Then you have a couple scenes of you having sex with men? Bruh. This a flaw of the premise tbh.

Also your "transformation" is just you wearing a makeup and dyeing your hair. And then everyone is like "wow what a pretty lady". Nah man thats a dude, just look at his chest. It is just dumb. Plenty of sexy ladies around, this blake guy aint one of them. But you cant fully transform either ie. get boobs and shit nope you are just an ugly dude. In this aspect its actually quite realistic because thats how it works IRL.

But yeah, theres a loooot of talking, a lot of scenes too but few of them involves you yourself. That is just lame. Honestly I had to stop playing, because i got bored with it.

Waayy too much filler nobody cares about, and not being involved in sex scenes is just boring.

But if you like reading pointless crap and watching other men have sex with ladies then this is the game for you. But it is just too boring to play through

By far the most extensive visual novel filled with options that actually do matter, and if you love sissy themes this is THE game for you. Lots of romance options to either route you choose to go with for Blake.

The premise of this game is really good. You don't see many adult VN games where the main character is a sissy and where you can choose straight or gay routes.

But unfortunately, the concept is the only interesting thing about this game.

I really wanted to like it, but the MC's incessant and unnecessary ramblings between dialogues add nothing and will just get even more annoying the longer you play.

The character models mostly look good, but the option for the sissy MC to get dommed by a man is severely lacking, and none of the male characters are interesting enough to follow.

After playing for a couple hours, I got so bored of the slow pace and useless internal dialogues and just skipped forward to see the sex scenes. While doing that, not only did I realize that there were so few sex scenes and they all consist of only a handful of renders, but the story gets so convoluted and confusing that I'm glad I didn't bother spending more time with it especially after seeing how insanely long the walkthrough is at 300+ pages.

I couldn't even finish skipping to the end because this is almost a 3 year old game and the story just keeps getting more and more confusing and unnecessarily long.

TLDR: Save yourself 16 gbs because this game is so not worth it. If the concept is what made you want to try it in the first place, you'll be left disappointed. My only hope is that someone else takes this idea and executes in a much better and more interesting way,

the dick of the protagonist is too small. ofc you can tell "after a bunch of hormones usually trances have such dicks" but damn it. it looks either as bad graphics or not healthy for the main hero at all. yes, I believe taking dicks in ass can't hurt health, but too much hormones..
and this tiny dick looks pathetic. it's exact reason I believe you'll waste time playing it. please fix it. pleaase
