I just don't see why you'd want it to be so strict. To date the game has been very good about letting us choose if we want to see Blake with men or not, I don't see why you would want to throw all that away. Especially when most people don't want it.But I do use straight/gay points here, albeit indirectly. They're the ones determining whether or not you'll meet Tanya and Coco at the party instead of Claude and Troy, and it's important for the straight porn line. You see, the problem with the old points is that they're given for all sorts of stuff. Basically Blake gets «gayer» to the same degree both from reading gay magazines, and sucking Jamal's dick. Now, of course, there are separate variables to help with that, but I'm not sure which ones to pick. Not to mention, there's a lot of them. For example, in order to start Suya's route Blake has to keep with 14 different variables, and I'm still not sure if it works correctly.
Bottom line, I may add some additional conditions, but chances are they will be just as strict.
"Too many variables" like that may be a sign that there should actually be a few more variables, I think I remember seeing one event that was checking 'has Blake had sex with a man' that was a great big
or
chain of checking every time he might have, when that could all be replaced by a single blakeHasFuckedMan
variable. Or a function, that would encapsulate all those variables into a single easy to use block that could be called each time much easier.I still don't see how bi points are supposed to be better than gay points, it's still +1 for everything just the same except now he's also getting them for being with women.
