Dev is making like $200 a month on patreon so it's not surprising that the updates are slow since that is clearly not enough for him to work on it full time.
Well, he lost a lot of support (including mine) by being completely silent for months. There has been no new post on Patreon or Discord since July.

The rules say if not posts for 90 days on patreon, or SS, then it gets the tag, but it doesn't mean it is dead.please don't abandon this.

It's a pity about a promising game, but let's hope the dev is ok.
