bad news fam, I got a part-time job. They want me to work like ~25hrs a week, but it's been getting harder to find good excuses to give to my mom for why I should stay NEET. Too lazy to get a real job, so that's how it's gonna be for now.
Good news is I been cutting back on a lot of video games, so hopefully translation work continues at a steady pace.

Wouldn't it make sense to request the as well? Even if it's not a direct character connection?
Bishop seems to make very interesting games with rape as a theme, ngl. Having more of their stuff in english is an amazing idea, good luck to the folks doing god's work!

hallo, I basically chose shihai no kyoudan 2 because I wanted to buy myself time in case some other madman out there decided to do shihai no kyoudan 1. Almost all of Bishop's stuff got animated adaptations, and at the time, this title was the second most recent game they'd released. If there was any Bishop title that no one was going to translate, it was gonna be this one.
Actually, if anyone wants to do the Kutsujoku line, that'd be great. Third game was released this year

Download the release and then run the exe with cmd :
aight so command prompt says:
"'BSXScript_Tool' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."
Looks like I have to explain to my computer that it's a program, but I don't know how to do that

I know this will be terribly off-topic, but now that you brought that one up don't mind if i do.
What i heard a few times now is basically just using the outline for a vn and doing their own thing completely.
So doesn't that in turn mean their "adaptations" are very unfaithful to these games as a result. If that is the case, we should even be more after the original works, right?

Yeah, that's part of why I wanted to work on a Bishop game. After I checked out I was looking for something similar, only to find that it was the only game from Bishop to ever get an english translation, which then got an anime that somehow had worse art than the 2D stills from the game. (an interesting note, the timing of the anime release was strange too - it seems like most of the adaptations were within 2 years or so after the game release, whereas Sansha Mendan came out in 2/2011, and got an anime adaptation 8 years later. I suspect Bishop noticed a spike in popularity after the english tl came out in 2017).

I've been looking around a little bit, and it looks like there's people uploading scuffed playthroughs of untranslated VN's on english-language porn sites, usually half-skipped sex scenes, meaning there's a slowly growing interest in these games, including a lot of Bishop ones.
I liked Sansha Mendan, but I also liked some of the older anime adaptations like Gakuen 2 and 3 and TJ3SLG. I doubt that fans of these hanime have any idea that these are all originally games from Bishop.
The best thing to do at this point imo, to kind of bring everything together, is to put out an english translation of more Bishop games. That should bring more exposure to the games, to Bishop as a company, and to the fact that the Bishop catalogue is a gold mine for similar content.

Then hopefully I can sit back and let somebody else translate Shihai no Kyoudan 3 because as fun as it is, I cannot wait for this project to be finished

I very much agree! Also the same thing seems to go for most waffle games as well. Hell this topic here made me look into h-anime adaptations i know about and just look if i can request more translations of some of these now too. :) So thank you very much for the talk and brining my thoughts back to these games again. :giggle:

Locate the folder you have the .exe and in the path type cmd like this and enter. Then run the exe again it will show you command 1636266077121.png

aight, downloaded some stuff, tinkered around a bit, I may have gotten something..
nope, I got nothing. I'm an idiot, I have no idea what's going on or how to use this tool. All I got was some text in the prompt telling me the name of the tool and usage, which I am evidently too stupid to understand. Ima give it two more days, if I don't successfully manage to replace text by then, Ima leave it alone.

*note: I did get this error prompt once, after I downloaded .NET and entered BSXScript_Tool -e "C:\game\Files\bsxx.dat":
tech sup 2.png
I don't know what that's about, or who Shiroha is

sure thing, I have the first draft of the opening attached to the first post as a .txt. You can send me edits however you want, as long as you include line number, original jp text, my text, and proposed edits.

*and I would also like if you checked roughly the latter half of that thing, I basically skimmed it when I was double-checking

Can you send me the bsxx.dat, the tool only support bsxscript 3.0. Or you can check it yourself by using any hex editor open the bsxx.dat and see the header if it is bsxcript 3.0
