Yeah, really hoping that is just a stylistic choice specifically for Genshin Impact.

I doubt Shirakami will stick to one kind of artistic design, considering the past animations are different. Besides as you said, I would say it's likely that the current/latest designs are simply just more fitting with characters from Genshin Impact.

P.S. Personally, I like this current design just for the Genshin Impact characters.
