Depends on what you mean.someone have the full game with save? can send here please?
You say the game is too easy yet plenty of reviewers who say its too hard, hats off to youLocked in and beat Suicidal recently, I'm so goated.
My review's opinion stands, this game is too easy. Thinking of figuring out how to mod it to be harder.
Anybody know how editing stats and whatnot would work for an rpgm game like this?
I noted that in my own review. I feel like a lot of people restricted themselves from using assists and made the game harder than it needed to be.You say the game is too easy yet plenty of reviewers who say its too hard, hats off to you
Im pretty sure if you open most files as a project on rpg maker and edit it as you please, so maybe start from there
I think it's vx ace? though dont quote me on that, i dont recall perfectlyI noted that in my own review. I feel like a lot of people restricted themselves from using assists and made the game harder than it needed to be.
I did Suicidal without assists sure, but that was with a lot of knowledge about every boss and it's mechanics.
Do you know which RPGMaker this one uses? If I can pinpoint that I might be able to do more than edit some numbers... Maybe even... increase Debuff and Restrain Chances![]()

Ah well, I can try a few.I think it's vx ace? though dont quote me on that, i dont recall perfectly
i mean yeah, i was quite vocal about it, my hatered for this game can be expressed by my 3 thousand word review, though i hadn't really challenged myself like you, though i didnt have much problems except with the daiji fight on my first playthrough, the permament punishment mechanic is just scummy, if you want people to implement trial and error you can't literally corrupt their save with a debuffAh well, I can try a few.
How about you, have you cleared this supposedly "impossibly masochistic game"?
Oh I remember reading your review a while back, lol. You seemed to be quite pissed.i mean yeah, i was quite vocal about it, my hatered for this game can be expressed by my 3 thousand word review, though i hadn't really challenged myself like you, though i didnt have much problems except with the daiji fight on my first playthrough, the permament punishment mechanic is just scummy, if you want people to implement trial and error you can't literally corrupt their save with a debuff![]()
yeah but i was stubborn about it and didnt want to use it since the guide said it changes the ending, either way it doesnt matter that muchOh I remember reading your review a while back, lol. You seemed to be quite pissed.
Again, I do think the existence of assists was to allow one to relieve that trial and error, since you shouldn't be going for your super true ending first run anyways. But we can agree to disagree. I think this game's difficulty is just a point of contention at this point.
The only review that really pissed me off was the one that accused people who liked the game for quote "have Stockholm syndrome and are just trying to make excuses for their abuser."
Edit: Daji is the first run killer, challenging yourself at all reveals Mukuro as the true hardest boss of the game
It's all good man, I found by experimenting with shrift 2, the save scum to end all save scums.yeah but i was stubborn about it and didnt want to use it since the guide said it changes the ending, either way it doesnt matter that much
Save scumming the game is possible, but again, most of the things that would actually need it have alternatives. It's all good man, I found by experimenting with shrift 2, the save scum to end all save scums.
Usually you'd just reload with typical save scumming, developer obviously thought that through and did his own permanent decisions and punishing you for quitting the game after you lose to avoid said loss.
Well now what I do is I save before w/e "permanent" stuff, copy the save folder and put it in a folder I call the "temp save to rewind time", so if I mess up and don't want that "permanent" decision. I just copy over the save folder in that past save and overwrite the game's current save folder, effectively making it so that never happened.
Obviously with shrift 1, this would mean you need to also get the public data file as well.

I can't see any decisions that would COMPLETELY force save scumming, except for one of the Genocide Endings of course.
Does bother me a little that I can't replay the game proper on my EX 4 Cleared Copy, but otherwise. I don't see much of an issue.
Also, forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't SHRIFT 2's Corruption and force data mechanics significantly easier to get rid of?
You're going for TM? If you have done a run before with assists it'll be significantly easier thanks to NG+. But I guess if you're using that method it doesn't matter. The method I just said, has been working for me, public data + saves, copy both. Then when the mess up/loss happens, copy and paste the public data + saves I previously copied, and copy and paste them back to the game's folder.
I'm on empusa right now, and going after the true mercy route. I had a hell of a time figuring out what to do with iron maiden, because the guide mentions nothing about the not that obvious blank option to struggle with all your might.
That's a pretty important detail to have in a supposed "guide".
1st run in general, I was gonna go for true mercy, then normal, then possibly genocide, but I don't know if I'm up for making myself suffer through that. You're going for TM? Edit: The way I see it its probably meant to go: Normal Run with assists -> Get a neutral end -> NG+ -> Get Mercy/TM -> Get TM
You'll save yourself a LOT of suffering by going through normal first, since thats the intended route.1st run in general, I was gonna go for true mercy, then normal, then possibly genocide, but I don't know if I'm up for making myself suffer through that.
Alright, I already started doing some of the true mercy stuff by saving certain monsters/sparing them. You'll save yourself a LOT of suffering by going through normal first, since thats the intended route.
General rule of thumb is let go when you can on your first run, you're not expected to make all the other choices perfectly. If you get a lot of corruption, use an assist, it costs 0 assist points and completely clears a demon's corruption, infinitely reusable.Alright, I already started doing some of the true mercy stuff by saving certain monsters/sparing them.
I appreciate it man, whenever I've lost because of my own incompetence or cheap bs (like that iron maiden thing where I was expected to magically know there's an option that's not super obvious, but is there (empty bar on the ui for the combat). I've just been doing that save scumming technique I mentioned. The only thing I need to do is go back and farm barghest for the affection points at some point, along with doing all the others at some point as well, thank god for that go back to w/e chapter option.General rule of thumb is let go when you can on your first run, you're not expected to make all the other choices perfectly. Use those to make mistakes and learn, then your second run automatically gets made easier thanks to your previous choices.
Ignore the warnings about endings being affected by assists, the first run can get ANY ending.
I do agree some things aren't too obvious, but thats why the assists exist. The game just scares people off with the whole ending change warning. But again, don't be afraid to lose or make mistakes or fuck up, you can always use assists. And the bonds you make will help you out in the long run.I appreciate it man, whenever I've lost because of my own incompetence or cheap bs (like that iron maiden thing where I was expected to magically know there's an option that's not super obvious, but is there (empty bar on the ui for the combat).
