Truth be told. A game where the protagonist dies at the end is pretty cool. Heavy Rain was rather epic. I suppose it all comes down to how things are implemented and how it is written. If a fetish is there purely for the sake of the fetish, then it generally is of low quality.

I was talk more like playing these games but wanting the protagonists lose to everybody during the whole game. Like play God of War but wanting Kratos die right in the Hidra fight.

Another thing I didn't get is why in the last scene with Jake, the MC couldn't influence him, he was "feeling strong emotions"

The pills seem to only work on an as the story needs basis. The entire Jake thing could have been avoided as Jake was experience strong, and dramatic, emotions. And the mom wasn't really experiencing any where near Jake's level of emotion when she got corrupted, that scene also showed us that the MC can't control it, as he was pretty adamant from the start that he not corrupt his family, but whoopsie doodles. Yet Jake was completely immune during his temper tantrum? Only part of the story that I didn't like as it wasn't consistent with MC's powers, while being unfortunately consistent with Jakes selfishness.
