Just finished the newest episode and all I can say its absolute cinema and my favorite episode that Niichan has ever created I just love Nicole so much as a character but just in general the whole cast is amazing I love how the crew doesnt try to be righteous or have some sort of moral superiority they know what they are and embrace the darkness inside of them.

I can now safely say that as much as I like MBML I think Sicae is leagues better than MBML I just enjoy it way more in every aspect from the darker story, characters, way more lore and even the MC is just so much cooler also enjoy that there is way less comedy than MBML and is more on the serious side of things.
I still love both games but yea Sicae for me is just much better in my opinion it is going to hurt my soul having to wait so long for the next episode especially after such a sad ending with Irene and also with that absolutely insane cliffhanger.

Personally, I prefer the Li's from MBML over Sicae, but the story in Sicae keeps me hooked

Both of NiiChans novels are good. (P.S. NiiChan I want my FUCKING TEARS back!) :coffee:
Yeah they're both great games. I just slightly prefer Sicae because of the faster paced plot and darker overall tone. The wait for the next update to this is going to be brutal, even though I'm happy MBML will be getting more content.

That's funny, because so much of MBML is so fucking dark. It is about healing and growing from the horrific shit that happened, as opposed to Sicae's more violent throughline. I prefer MBML because I would like to be a good person. I like Sicae because I can relate to the rage and need for vengance. I really like both games a lot, though.

Yeah they're both dark in ways. But I find the way it's done here in Sicae is more visceral plus the protagonist and his crew have no pretenses at being good guys or heroes in any way. They're unapologetically violent killers and criminals. But it's done in such a way that they're not outright villains either. They have good reasons for most of the stuff they do.

I usually prefer the protagonist to be a good person in most stories but it's a nice change of pace to have a group like Sicae who instead of struggling with the morality of killing the villains, they instead just do it and deal with the consequences after.

I really like both stories too, playing the Sicae update right now, but I agree with you for the same reasons, MBLM is more about healing and redemption and Sicae is more raw and vengeful, still prefer just a bit more MBML as you do. But they complement well and give a better understanding of NiiChan novels universe.

I find that, overall, the tone of Sicae is darker than that of MBML, and in the latter, the shift in tone and atmosphere comes rather late, in my opinion. That said, both stories share powerful narrative stakes and strong emotional moments, with dramatic and tragic instances.

I slightly prefer Sicae because it resonates with me more: the characters' backstories are more original and engaging, the action is more intense, and the universe and storyline surrounding these assassins are much more prominent and interesting. However, while I appreciate both stories, my preference leans more toward Sicae, even though I discovered MBML first.

I quite agree with what you're saying here; it's a pretty cool and refreshing aspect of Sicae that contrasts more strongly with other typical stories, making these characters feel a bit more real to me, especially since they seem more autonomous, with their own free will.
