Couple of years ago, I played this game and reached up till that point where MC & Lisa meets Alex for the first time in the abandoned school gym.
I remember liking the story so far then but unfortunately afterwards my PC died.
After getting a new PC, I somehow forgot about this game (not to mention list of AVNs I'm playing grew exponentially over the years didn't help
).
Last month, a friend reminded me that this game still exists, and I finally took another crack at the game.
Took my time reading through (even the early episodes given I had basically forgotten most of the plot), and finally all caught up.
So what are my thoughts after going through it again?
I like it. I like it a lot.
Granted, I'm a bit of sucker for dark and mature story driven games, so there is that bias, and while at times the story does kinda bombard with constant twists which can feel a bit outlandish, I'm surprised to say it pretty much gels well together to drive forward a compelling game which keeps me engaged.
There's several LIs in the game, but my favorite LI is definitely Yuna; aka "Dice."
Something about her personality not filtering her words for MC, as well as her back and forth chemistry between her & MC just grabs me every time in their dialogue scenes and her leaving all other LIs in dust (at least for me).
Dunno what plans
NiiChan has with her character, but here's hoping to see more of her and her interactions with MC.
Though one question I have is, what are Ken, Shina and Alice even doing at this point?
Almost everybody living in has been; i.e. Yuna, Eliza, Zoey, Nicole, yet Ken, Shina Alice does seem to be completely in the dark or not part of the conflict.
Granted, given Aurora is part of the sub-branches broken off from Sicae, I guess Alice could be part of same affiliation of sorts. But regardless, it would be nice to have those 3 characters appear and do stuff (given so far, they're not really doing anything) to show that they're not completely forgotten.
Will try to keep in track of this game from now on, so when the next update comes out I'll jump into it.
p.s. I noticed NiiChan has another game called My Bully is My Lover. Can't really tell whether that game will be my cup of tea just by what I'm seeing from the overview/premise summary from that game thread's OP.
Guess I'll give it a try sometime in the next couple of days and find out.
