Just after you start chapter 2, you ARE given a choice for Novel/Free Roam.
FYI, at the point you move into the new mansion, it all becomes free roam. (I didn't even notice at first, it was quite a seamless transition).

If you chose novel, it should stay novel. I HATE having to choose what to do, I prefer to let the game do it for me. I never know what to do. i tried going to the computer but, I'm having trouble following it. It's boring playing free roam. Sorry the Dev needs to fix that.

As of 0.18 game is only sandbox that won't change going forward. This game is not bad in sandbox you have 2 computers that tell you what you need to do there really isn't any getting lost or not knowing what to do

I agree with divingmedic.
I don't really like sandbox, but I find that this one is not too grindy. And I really enjoy the game.

without the grind there is no payout .. whether with the females or payday ... i don't get what some people think ... saying " i hate grinder games " - while i agree , i don't see this vn like others , at least this vn has a payout with females and paydays

I hate the wait even if I employ shower time skip at home and then sleep.
I need at least 5 with each girl since it feels good to have a lot of kids in this game.

Did you get Ema pregnant in chapter 1, Betty just talk to her, tell her she can move in , keep talking to her there is no sex or baby's in this update

If you follow the computer at home and office you should be fine, you can also look at walk through which is in game now
