I actually noticed the same, but it was only when I used auto play. When I was just manually clicking through it seemed to be working fine. I even ran unren and selected the force rollback option and it still didn't fix it.

Dunno, I can roll to previous dialogue just fine even with auto enabled. As for the auto play itself the default speed is kinda slow, you can make it faster in the settings.
It's really just about the rollback function. The skip function works perfectly. No, my mouse works perfectly as well. As I said: the function isn't available in the bottom bar either.
It is displayed, but is always "dark gray"
It's possible that my save is corrupted. I can't say.
Then I have no clue why that is happening to you. You can try a different save, or use the page up or page down keys to rollback, or delete the persistent file inside the saves folder to see if that fixes it (but that will reset the gallery).
The only reason I can imagine why the rollback function doesn't work is that the gallery or some scenes were added after a few updates. And to get these (I've been playing the game since the first day of release) I used an auto clicker app afterwards (the Ctrl key doesn't work when supposedly new scenes are shown). I can imagine that this is because the saved file was corrupted.
It's unusual though, as it's not a problem with other games.
But the fact that I can't use the rollback key isn't the end of the world.
Like I said, skip for unseen scenes needs to be toggled in the options if you want to zoom past them. But please do try to see if you can replicate the problem in a different save (which is most likely the issue) cause I need to know if this is something I should be concerned about or just a corrupted save. I've been writing and advising for over 50 years. If you literally removed that time jump frame it would not change the natural progression at all. I hadn't played past that when I made the comment. I never suggested speeding things up, merely said in the overall that time cut was useless.I though the timeskip turned out pretty good and it advanced the plot. I was having issues with rollback as well. I did use skip for some tedious moments, I get bored easily.
Funny one of my replies was deleted, the mod didn't specify which and I can't recall, most likely that crying troll. The mods love to defend trolls here, they usually are the trolls.
