I understand the hesitation, but I have years of experience in the game development industry and am coming into this genre well prepared to make it to the finish line.
In terms of the Patreon, it’s there for people to support and get access to Pre-Release versions. It’s not there to gouge players for money by locking content behind a paywall.

Good to hear, but the super-early alpha release is... Well, it's standard for indie games but goddamn is it a terrible practice.
If you don't mind, what's the logic behind your version numbering? Might be useful for those of us who want to watch this space but only download if there's some actual meat on the bone.

I get the argument that it's not good practice. However, attempting to gain an audience through a single full release is much more difficult on platforms like itch.io than through early access/development releases like this. I believe that as long as updates are released consistently and at reasonable speed/quality, then it's a reasonable approach.
My version numbering comes from how I was taught during my time at university. 1.0 is a full release, anything that is 0.1 and above should have a reasonable amount of content, and below 0.1 is what I'm calling the beta phase (hence the B). It may not be officially the standard but that's my rationale.

I know it's just the beginning, but the first 3 lewd scenes are below average
short, uninspiring, nothing I haven't seen in hundreds of other games of this type
do you really want to stand out with slavery, prostitution? there's plenty of that too...
if you have a lot of experience then make better scenes

I have extensive experience as a programmer in the game development industry and, as stated, am well-prepared to finish the game.
That by no means makes me an expert in every aspect of game development, and while I understand the first lewd scenes may not be up to your standards the more I get to grips with creating them the better they will be.
In terms of their content though, they will get more in-depth/creative the further the story and training go. I'm not going to create crazy unique scenes for the beginning of a character route.
I hope you give the game another chance when it's further along, but if not, thanks for giving it a try now anyway.

Wouldn't that be the best place for them, though? Putting your best foot forward?
A bad first sex scene is kinda like a bad tutorial. Even if the rest of the game is good, that first impression can taint the perception until well past mid-game, when the player is supposed to be super hype.

I agree, but I don't personally believe that my first scenes are 'bad'. They're just simple in comparison to what I have plans for later down the line. The person who I was responding to didn't enjoy them and that's okay.
Also, the bit I said about later scenes being 'more in-depth/creative' wasn't meant to suggest that are of lower effort but instead that they are just simpler. As more in-depth scenes wouldn't make sense for the narrative or the characters that early on.

Today is the public release of Sinful Valley v0.0.7b. It continues the narrative with 3 new scenes and further developments in your relationship with Claire.
It also begins to set up the future farmstead renovation system by introducing the player to a possible first job opportunity! In a few updates, you'll be able to work (with a full mini-game) and save up cash to renovate specific parts of the farmstead.

Sinful Valley won’t contain any NTR, but I also disagree that it would ‘ruin my reputation as a game dev’.
People have different tastes and different kinks they enjoy, there’s likely a fairly large audience that would enjoy NTR content as long as the dev was upfront about it.
