Since the update was due in April, yes ppl need to start asking questions, besides this is still a free forum last time ive checked, ppl are free to ask anything.
Dev hasn't commented in a while but this is not completely true. The "update" you're talking about was a bugfix with Italian language, which wasn't gonna add any content. The Dev has updated on the situation multiple times after that, although not in detail.
If I have to make a guess: Dev realized Patreon doesn't allow porn(or got warning), there was no way to continue development while also making money, so they started to look for alternatives and finally settled on something, that's where the September thing came in.
The dev has a habit of being inactive and popping up, so I wouldn't worry till 2024 personally.

I am ok with the delay in deliveries and the complete alteration of the roadmap, but I am not ok with the lack of communication.
If you have trouble funding the project, tell us. If you have abandoned the project, again, tell us. Some of us supported you and have the right to know the status of the game.
The latest comment from the dev here was in March, as well as the latest update of the game, and his latest comment in Discord server was during June, stating that the shootings will be completed in August and the full game will be released in September.

I completely agree with what has been said, it would be the least warning about the status of the project

Seeing as most/the whole of the Sinsworld team is/was comprised of an italian (?) pimp and his eastern european prostitutes, (un)fortuneally you can use some of the pictures to pretty much pinpoint the locations to a "sauna" club in the outskirts of Neaples, and the whole project most likely only was to bridge either very late stage Covid or renovations or whatever... I expected nothing less.
I even hinted at this fact in this post a year ago.
