Rough. I liked Christmas Eve and felt the dev had potential. Saw the good reviews here and thought maybe they'd been steadily improving.

I think that is one of the fastest MC likeability crash and burns I've ever seen. In the first scene we learn he's halfway to being a deadbeat dad but is looking to reconnect with his daughter (edit: actually, he's open to reconnecting. I forgot it wasn't even his idea). In the second scene, he immediately complains that she's being distant to him (with zero effort on his part btw) and insists that she should appreciate the bumfuck rural landscape he's preferred over spending time with her for the past 12 years. Real boomer energy in this one. Zero empathy, responsibility or introspection.

Not to mention, after one of the main complaints about Christmas Eve was how heavily it was "inspired" by Petal Among Thorns, was remixing Melody a good idea? Though I'll be honest here I didn't get far enough to see how strong the similarities are.

...I renamed the MC and this is the first time I found it using the default name instead of the one I chose. I just used the urm manual rename option to avoid any further instances, so there may be more that I am now not seeing.

Also, starting CH 3, my dude is getting NTRed, dammit, hope Brad gets fired for consorting with his employees.

Jonesy doesn't write NTR. Stop using words you don't understand. There is no NTR is Jonesville. Period.

Melody has nothing to do with this. Be more productive with your critique.
Bobby has been on the road for years trying to keep his marriage together and pay the bills.
There is no deadbeat about that at all. His being on the road get Rachel the career she now enjoys,
paid for her expenses and for the roof over their heads. He's always provided for Charlie.
I know don't feed the trolls and this is def trolling. But if you have something to say, even negatively,
keep it in the realm of reality and not shit talking to shit talk. To say there is no empathy, responsibility
or introspection means you don't understand how to human. But you definitely know how twist shit
and make crap up. I'm going back to my work now SMH.

I don't play games to get cheated on, so I don't like NTR myself. But man, if you're too delicate to play a game where mention of any characters in the universe ever having or having had sex without the MC being involved....yikes! I mean, is it 'NTR' that MC's parents had sex at least once before he was born (to make him) ?? Seems like one of those chicken-egg causality loops.

I had the same issue just now. Not sure what causes it, but I could continue by clicking the auto option in the bottom to let the game progress without an input. That makes it seem like for some reason the game isn't registering user inputs as it normally would.

It also happened again a short bit later in the same scene. The same solution worked there.

I wouldn't classify that as NTR. It was painfully obvious from very early on that she was never a potential LI, and was just stringing MC along and using him. And lets not get into all the lies she told about him over the years. Good riddance to her, I almost feel sorry for Brad.

bug, happened a couple of times after too, just enable skip, and tap "Ctrl", then use mose wheel to rolle back and forth to bypass the bugged part.

HEY EVERYONE!
Important info so please pay attention.

Due to the changes made to include the musical segments prior to
Chapter 3 and after Chapter 3, the update will NOT work with old saves.
I've made a save point for the start of Chapter 3 for you all to use.
SO please make sure you have a spot available on PAGE 6 - Slot 5 of your game for it.
Jonesy will be including the save with the release so do not delete it unless you want to
start all over. Which you can if you want. It's definitely worth a replay

Here you go, buddy. Just pop this into the save location in your [username]\appdata\renpy\asirensong folder. It should show up in the very last slot on page 9 of your saves in the game. It'll put you right before Charlotte's performance beside the campfire in chapter 2 so that A. you can hear that song without having to skip through the whole first chapter and a half, and B. so you can be sure that everything moving forward works.
Let me know if it doesn't work.
NOTE: This will only work with version 0.3.2
