Would definitely stick to text only. Story is going well and the way it's presented is nice. Maybe keep a way to insert images for the future if you do eventually get the time and resources to add them.

Of course, the main project will be text only, so the image production won't impact the main production. This will only be an extra tht may even attract the people who don't like text only games. If I was going to try and shoot for incorporation into the main production, the thing you are saying to stay away from, I would have said so. I'm not the kind of person to beat around the bush, I like to get to the point as soon as possible.

For the sexy time content, hate to say it but it is a porn game, and I for one will not turn down more sexy times. If you want to write a sfw novel then more power to you, but I think you are advertising to the wrong audience.

For the money issue, it is your project and your work. No matter how you monetize it in the end I do understand that you have to make a living somehow. I personally would like to see a newest version for paying supporter and a free version that is released after X time or new version. I advise the time option, as it gives the content out to the rest of us even if you decide to take a break or something happens in life.

For the Images. While I would love images, do be careful. The "younger" patch means this always sits in a grey area of websites, and everyone has different levels of what type of this content they are ok with. Personally, I think hiring a artist would be ideal, as it leaves you time to focus on the rest of the game and I dunno if you have any experience with artistry/rendering. *shrug* If you do hire, the only thing I can say for sure is to make sure the artist is fully aware and agrees to what his/her work is being used for, and that they do not maintain exclusive rights to the artwork once it is paid for. I'm just remembering stories from other games that fell apart after the artist backed out and took an unrecoverable chunk of the game with them due to licensing.

I'm well aware of the territory I'm getting into and I do plan to run anything questionable by the mods first. I will make changes when needed. At least in my country, as long as there can be no mistake that it is fake, like with using Illusion assets, such as Koikatsu or AI Shouo, I'm safe. I can't use real people, but I never planned to as I don't want law trouble.

Well, renders do seem a really popular demand. I'm still not entirely convinced, and do not really want to invest time and money into making them, but maybe it's something to consider.

So let me ask, would people be in favor of me more aggressively monetizing the game, to raise funds to invest into a PC to make renders? This could mean for example, releasing versions for X amount of time as patron only, as some other games do.
Or investing into a machine, then paying for it by pay-walling renders for new updates for X amount of time, or something similar. And exclusive renders for on the Patreon.
And other ideas I think of, that I haven't thought of yet, since monetization has not been a priority so far.

I'm personally not such a fan of using games like Koikatsu to make renders, due to the anime style, and would need to invest a decent amount of money into a machine to make renders using DAZ or Blender. I might create a poll about it, when I release v0.8, to see what the general public thinks.

Rendering is DAZ/Blender is a huge investment, not just in equipment and time to let your rendering machine churn, but in the time and practice to develop the skills to design characters and composite scenes. If that's a skill you want to have, sure, go ahead, but if it's something you don't personally care about doing as a job or hobby, it's probably not worth it.

Definitely, he should focus on the writing, those who volunteer to do the renders will take care of the rest.

v0.7.4 is now released! Adding about three new scenes. I kind of struggled with the plotting and writing of this day, and I'm not entirely happy, but I wanted to post what I have for today. I advise people that are patient enough to be able to wait, to wait for the v0.8.0 release, which will contain the fourth full day, and hopefully rewrite/revise some of the existing writing.

Now, the question for the continuation of the current scene is the following, do I add the porn-game-staple of smelling the girl's panties? Would it be out of character for the boy to do it? The panty smelling does seem a bit out of character in this case. The MC is a brother fighting feelings he's getting for his own sibling, not some degenerate who already steals underwear from the laundry, not that I would have a problem with it if he was, that's just not the way he has been written so far.

Haven't played this release yet, but here are some ideas for improving the text based experience:
1. If you could code it so the back button/link takes you to the previous choice, that would be great.
2. A static toolbar at the top of the page, where you could put buttons.
3. Chapter and scene numbers at the top so we know exactly where you are.
4. A double back button to take you to the start of the scene.
5. A home button to take you to the start page.

I really do want the 1st one.

Hey, no kink shaming. Sniffing panties in the early stages of a game is fine, IMO, as he can't very well be sniffing the girl's crotch directly, so that's the next best thing. It would certainly be weird if he kept doing that after he'd progressed further in the relationship.

Talking about the 3d renders, I so far find this game is just fine without them. Also, rendering can be pretty heavy duty, and it takes a lot of practice to get good.

My proof of concept image, based on the banner image for the thread, is done. Koikatsu decided it wasn't going to let me load any characters into the studio, so I will be working in Honey Select 2. Now, I'm just waiting on an answer to how I go about getting a mod's attention for content I haven't yet posted, which would be a lot easier if it was already up on the thread since I could just report it for verification. I don't want to post it if it gets ruled a rule 7 violation, so I'll get it approved first. Yes, I am aware the game itself got approved, I just want to leave nothing to chance.

If it was already up, I could just report it and ask for verification, but I don't want to get struck with a violation in the case it does violate. I'm using Honey Select 2, which is pretty easy to work with once you figure out how to move individual bones. I tried to make one based on the thread banner, not exact, but close enough. I'll be on my own for the rest, so I chose an existing piece related to the game to test the waters. I'm hoping the answer is just find a mod and PM the image. I also asked if PMs are subject to rule 7 just in case. No answer to either yet.

I really do want the 1st one.

1. I think I've figured out a way to do this, will be included in the next version. Might need some more testing, though.
2. I have a bar at the top already, with some information. I'll add the rest of the buttons to that.
3. I'll try to think of a good way to achieve this, without showing it all the time. Perhaps showing it on hover.
4. If #1 works, I will make this another button as well indeed.
5. I can do this.

That should do, I just didn't see the character doing that without at least considering backing down, he's still too hesitant even at the end of 0.7.1, which was the last version I've gotten the chance to give a proper read. I have 0.7.4, I'm just more focused on details describing Julia right now. I'll send a PM your way so we have one open I can access in my PM list.

Because smell is a very important of attraction and sexual pleasure? There are like several dimensions to sexual acts that make them arousing, hence why having the thing in front of you and reading about it is pretty much never the same thing. And that of course, goes for both roads, you can find yourself into something in your imagination but meeting it is horrible.

On the subject of the panty sniffing thing... if its something you think belongs in the game, just make it an optional branch. Players who are into the fetish will choose that branch and players who aren't will choose the other branch.

It already does, if you play it in a non-private browsing tab. It auto-saves every scene, just press "Continue Game" instead of "Start Game" to continue from the last scene you played.
I can also add an option to export your save to a file, but didn't think it would be worth the trouble, since you can just use scene select to go to where you were as well.
EDIT: Added saving and loading to disk.
