I won't lie that is one thing I didn't understand. If im not mistaken, they got kicked out of their home and had to find a new place. This does happen especially if its a home rental or an apartment complex is doing major remodeling etc. What I don't understand is with the money they made. Why it was a dramatic situation, making well over six figures and couldn't find a place to stay or a struggle moving. That part I find very odd with the income coming in.

Skudds health situation, I understand needing a break to take care of that and I am glad they did....I thinking staying alive beats making port art for us gooners. This could be what was really draining the bank depending on what all needed done and the cost of medical care in their area. It does suck they mentioned not finishing the gwen project....but it is their decision...to be clear we aren't investing for a project to be done or commissioning for it...we were subscribed to support their work...we aren't entitled to a finished project even though I really wish we were lol.

Oh I am upset the project isn't finished....but when you do a subscription it ISN'T in writing or noted hey you are investing for XYZ to be completed. Just realistically you may have subbed because you wanted to support the artist to complete X but in reality all these platforms, patreon, subscribe, OF etc you can have a sub and they never post anything and you aren't entitled to any refund etc.

Its not rage baiting...its just a true reality...again it sucks and I really was hoping for the project to become completed...that said I just probably won't sub again. I am sure many of the subs he has now don't even know they are still subbed lol

Yes, legally Skuddbutt isn’t committing any crimes by not keeping his word and thus providing his subscribers with basically nothing while gladly taking their money.

However every non psychopathic adult knows that just judiciary “legality” doesn’t equal correct/adequate social behavior.
A person can behave in an incredible unjust/antisocial way and still be fully covered by law and thus legality.
Just like one can commit incredible humanitarian acts of kindness while acting against the law and thus legality.

What Skudd did is absolutely despicable.
I’m not a saint, I’ve made lots of mistakes, I’ve wronged many people, I’m sure all of us have.
We all have our flaws, no one’s perfect.

However Skudd literally scammed THOUSANDS of people.
How many people do you know of that did something like that?
Yeah, thought so.

I don’t care if Skudd isn’t liable for what he did in a legal sense.
What matters is that he’s shown and thereby proven to everyone who’s got a working brain + some resemblance of a spine/backbone what kind of a person he truly is.
That’s what matters way more than any kind of lawsuit.

I would be willing to complete or at least continue the Gwen animation. I have extensive background in art and animation, including professional work... and I am confident I could seamlessly transition Skudd's work into my own. The only caveats:

A) I would need to utilize AI, not to generate entire scenes but to supplement my limited time in taking on such a workload; granted, the video would not have any AI artifacts nor an "AI look" because I would use my actual professional skills to animate over whatever portions I'd use AI for to make the finished product appear flawless; I also have experience in sound design and could essentially make the video Skudd didn't end up making.

B) I would need Skuddbutt's express permission somehow for me to take on the project because I am a professional artist in real life and I don't need a lawsuit nor do I want the world knowing who I am lol

If anyone is interested or knows how I could proceed feel free to let me know ^^

As many of you probably saw from the YouTube vid comments, it seems he’s not planning to return to complete the Gwen project. He also confirmed on Discord that he only wants to stick to creating comic-style content instead of doing animation.

So honestly, don’t waste your money subscribing. I’ll try to post updates every now and then and share anything new from Discord or Subscribestar.

Here’s the latest update: since he came back, he’s been working on Meru again, but there are no plans to animate it.

Thanks for the info! I don't know much about Skuddbutt or where he's most responsive because I just found his animations recently and I was damn, this is fire. Then I learned this Gwen project got stuck in limbo and that sucks. So I will try to reach him via the means you suggested. I'll keep everyone here updated as best as possible. My thought is, once I get permission (if I do lol), I'd start with a 5-10 second sample of an oral scene or something just to show everyone I'm not full of shit, then whoever is down for what I'm offering could tag along in whatever way seems to work best for everyone
