Yeah I'll mark my vote down for preferring the old art. AI art is generic and boring.

And it certainly isn't OBJECTIVELY better like I've seen said here, are you kidding me? By what metrics? For one it looks like AI generation, which is a pretty hefty negative. For another it's art intended to get people off. I'm not sure there is a more subjective thing on the planet than horny art. I'll always have a lot more respect for someone trying their best than this generic slop. It didn't even look bad previously, was quite nice. I suppose one positive is that I can be quite rude to AI art and not have to worry about hurting anyone's feelings. Like, oh no will stable diffusion or wtf ever cry about it? Quit pumping out images if it gets enough negative comments? I wish, but it won't, so I'll just say, this is worse. It's shitty.

I also just preferred the actual details of the previous art. AI aside. For whatever that's worth.

Unfortunately, I will not be putting time into this if that's going to be what's on offer. Which I mean, to be clear, I'm not paying for it, so no hard feelings. Creator doesn't owe me anything. But while I found the storytelling charming and interesting to a degree, it is nowhere near good enough for me to ignore the bad art for the sake of it.

May anyone who enjoys this get what they want out of it, best of luck to the creator.

:WaitWhat: i guess i missed some updates because i didnt see the art change until now.. i certainly dont want to sound like an asshole but how the fuck do you go from a femenine furry trap to a furry bodybuilder? i read previous pages and i understand the devs problem with the art, i have no problem with the art being Ai, but i'm pretty sure the dev can get better results for Dax's so the model could keep that feminine touch, this now practically looks like the typical gay furry game (and now the trap tag doesnt even make sense).

Oh no. I was waiting til this was further along to try it and I could see all the way from the updates page that the developer changed out the simple but charming drawn art for boring AI pictures.

These programs are better at doing furry characters than anime style for some reason, but it still just looks odd. The old hips were obviously exaggerated, but the algorithm interpreted "wide hips" as "weird lumpy mashed potato thighs".

I'm gonna be the silent majority and say that I like it how it is now. Sure Dax is now muscular but the old art didn't quite emphasize how big the ass was and now it has. Plus I think the Dev's problem was that he was trying to solve the possibility of animating the art for sex scenes and such.

My two cents:
I'm not demanding to have the old art back, because if the Dev don't want to or don't think they can draw more then it is their choice. Plus forcing them to do it isn't helpful to the development of the game.
BUT the complain many people voiced about the character's body type having changed is correct. The reason people get pulled in was the original art where the character is more effeminate, softer, smaller, aka more like a femboy/trap. Now though the AI art made him look as buff and tall as the MC. It is no longer femboy/trap sex, but closer to regular gay sex now.
Sure, you'll get new people coming in who are into that, but you are likely losing the old crowd for it.

I like the characters, I'm not bothered by a slight change in body type. It's just unfortunate to see something you like change for the worse (In my opinion). No hate to the dev, game is still great. It just sucks to see AI claim another project.

And now looks like generic AI, how is that better? Dude no even look like a trap anymore.
I don't want to offend the author
but this is really hard to explain otherwise so screw it

Because while generic this doesn't look like it's produced in Ms paint

The creator could have run the original images through controlnet and CLIP interrogation to get a more accurate rendition of the characters body type, and messed with style as much as they wanted to avoid the 'default' AI styling. Practically any model is capable of novel styles if you know how to ask. The problem here isn't AI, the problem is that it wasn't applied as effectively as it could have been.

I have not seen much of the original art, but i like his use of the AI art itself. I do agree that it might be best for the Dev to see other versions he may like instead
