Bummer. I didn't really believe it but still hope I would get some good news. Kinda frustrating knowing I'll never be able to get their content for absolutely no good reason. Guess I'll just have to wait for leaks then.
Thanks for the answer tho!
Perhaps this is the answer to your question:
"About the problem with declined cards.
Why is this happening?
After a not-so-extensive investigation, the answer is pretty simple. Your account and/or card have been "flagged" as part of "Web Scrapping" which is a nice way of saying that SubscribeStar thinks you're going to subscribe to someone in order to take their posts and share them for free on some platform.
To prevent this, their plan is simple... to send you and your money to hell regardless of whether you're innocent or not.
Why am I "flagged"?
Another simple answer, because you visited a page where free content is shared that was probably leaked/published without the creator's permission.
Pages including but not limited to Coomer, Kemono, SimpCity, etc... Especially Kemono.
Even if you visited it just once, even if you landed on one by mistake, even if it was just curiosity, you're screwed. You'll have a cookie that will serve as enough evidence for SubscribeStar to "flag" you as untrustworthy.
SubscribeStar support will help me for sure!
Hell no! They rarely help content creators, the people who make money for the site through their work. They won't lift a finger to help you... great strategy to make money, turn down money.
Can I "unflag" myself?
No... There's nothing you can do, you're screwed.
So I can never subscribe again?
Actually... there is a "solution"
Basically you should delete ALL cookies from your system and cache, go into a private tab, if you have a VPN better, create a new account and pray that only your account is flagged and not your card, if you think your card is flagged or you want to be extra careful use some virtual card service to be able to bypass any kind of block.
This should ONLY work if the source of your card rejection is because you are flagged, because they also have flagged countries, in which case changing the country in the card information is enough, Canada and Spain are good options.
"
Personally, my opinion on this:
It sounds like nonsense! If the site had blocked all users for visiting "pirate sites", it is unlikely that Sleepy would have more than 10% subscribers left!
More likely, many banks have labeled Subscribe star as a fraudulent platform and are blocking the card's binding...
