I've been playing since 0.1 and the first thing I noticed was the movement in animation. I base my opinions on games valued for what they are overall, amateur to mid-level indie, for the most part. I haven't played a pro-level game since Call of Duty WWII way back when, so can't really speak on where they are today. I do know porn uses new tech more than straight production, like 4K and VR. This should mean the game engines (RPGM, Renp'y, etc) should edge more towards them.
Anyway's, I literally haven't played since 0.1 and will have to carve out some time this weekend to see just how far this has come. TK responded that 0.2 was about 20% of what he had planned, so think about that as things move forward, and that his HIGH END Patreon is $3.
