I've been doing it for ever but game hates me. Well, clearly I'm doing it wrong.
Well, some basics:
The profiles.
They serve as a template and the autorating try score the models depend what you see in profile's preview image. This incuding the faces too. Within the profile you should select a face type what you like the most. Later you can refine the details as results. (Alsi it works as what you see that will rated, it means if you select a slender bodytype and want to huge breast as an addition you will be disappointed in generation results, so choose the milker and refine they bodies through the campaign. Thats why choosing the correct values to a profile is crucial!)
The generation.
It is depending on the profile, the collected campaing phase data and the campaign tier. If you start a cheap basic campaign (called Free for all, cost 100, contains 12 model per phase) the model's diversity is the highest in all 2 phase. It means they isn't really looks like what you set in the profile, so you should rate through all the applicants to refine. But in the cheap campaign's second and last phase is also working with high diversity included with your input rating from the first phase with one exeption. It is if you rate something to 10 because the generator will recognise to you want see that something near exclusively and the others what you rated as 0 will mostly excluded.
The tier 2 (called Amateurs, 700 dollar, 24 mpp) campaign has less diversity and also in the first phase mostly find what you set in the profile, but here is also rare to completely match. Say it's closer to your ideas, but you should refine through the campaign. One more intermediate phase will help you, as the inceased number of applicant (24 model per phase *3 phase). You can figure out it is nearly enough to find an acceptable model for you.
The tier 3 (called Professionals, 5000 dollar, 36 mpp) campaign has the smallest diversity, consist 4 phase with 36 model per phase. It should be enough to everything. (In the later phase here you can feel a littlebit you handle a clone army if you inputted high ratings before)
Tips.
1. Before you lauch a campaign made a save on the laptop. Launch a campaign, see whats generated. If you didn't satisfy what the game has generated for you, exit to the main without save and press the continue button and repeat the generation. (For example you set a milker profile and in first phase contains only models with small tits the whole campaign will be useless. It is true for the faces too. You can see they preview image but if you isn't sure call them in, check them closely, and if you sceptic about the others then repeat the generation described above)
2. Isn't worth bothering with rating in the last phase of any campaign (because if you launch a new one all your ratings will be reset). instead concentrate to dispatch the applicants to agencies (aka make money from them).
3. Personally I never use 10 point rating on anything and I not allow to do the autorating too. Exept if it is the best possible solution (like the biggest perfect tits with a perfect nipples what I want).
4. You should not went through all models in all phases if you don't want or already rated what you want to set to the next phase. (My tactic is to set a vendible profile (like fat body) and harvest them at contributors (fatties to the plussize models) in my free time. Meanwhile I concentrate to my hired models development)
5. Don't forget rating what you didn't see, the personalities, they sensitivity. I bet you will be disappointed if you made a perfect looking model but can't do things with her. Basically a hired model atm can only fully exploittable if she has the Erotic model and at least the Girlfriend Services (softcore) skill. Escort services hasn't role in the game yet (but later can be so it is better to have that, especially if you plan to export them). So if you find an applicant who has this two skill always rating they suitability for modelling "Yes" or "A lot" (depending on the other 2 personality skill is acceptable or not) if you want see more like this in the next phase (of coz in other cases suitability should below this with 'no', 'not soo much' or at last 'some' what i avoid because the averages/medians weakening the generation's results).
(Explanation: applicants who hasn't a thin green bar (appearing as 'modelling buff' in popups) after answering they interest hasn't suitable for modelling and I cut the interview short, because painful to make a ton of clicks for nothing. Basically this bar and bar's height shows the answer to this rating)
6. Be careful with autorating in the intermediate phases. The autorate working from the profile, not what you rated before the past phases. So for example if you get a good result in your intermediate phase, and interview applicants without fully revise they ratings (just set it here and there, not bothering the other parameters) it is possible to the following phase will be worse. Also in this game version if you set the model difficulty to very low, the autorate will underrate almost all non visible (mental) parameters because they isn't the opposite-like (It means for example if you see a fairly horny model and if you check her horniness rating and is low (1-2), and you forget to correct, the phase end result can be catastrophic with asexual, useless applicants.) How to avoid this? If you interview someone check this mental abilities too, with some mocking and stimulation if necessary, not just clicking and stripping them. It isn't really matter if they leave you with some (or lot of) anger. Checking the rating can only ignored (completely) in the last phase, because there isn't matter anymore.
Thats all for now, I hope it helps.
