Ah yes... Orange Trainer. A good game that I'm had a lot end up on the cutting room floor. As I recall Exiscoming decided not to make any porn games ever again because of battles with Patreon and the looming threat of litigation. If this is the case, I wonder if things are any different with Disney.
One of my favorite games here is Orange Trainer with Ahsoka. The ending was a little abrupt for my taste and a lot of people (me included) were hoping that the dev might continue it someday. It's been a while so I'm foggy on the details, but I remember someone here saying the dev can't due to copyright reasons. Is it different with Disney? It shouldn't be right?
As for Disney being different, as my law professor used to say "The mouse always gets his blood money." While I agree with other posters (sorry for not tagging you guys) that the main issue is money, there is also the issue of popularity. Many infringement cases deal with the issue that the parody is so popular it is considered nearly or absolutely indistinguishable from the original.
Currently, the mouse only goes after those that are the most popular. If they went after everyone, it would be a serious scandal and also quite costly. Going after porn companies? No way, it's obvious parody and those guys will fight. But artists and game creators? Now we're talking, but it's still a matter of picking the right battles to fight.
Now an old strategy of Disney's that still occurs to today is the standard Cease and Dissist order/notice being sent en masse. 7/10 times there is compliance because people don't want to risk a battle. 2/10 cases will lose because it's obviously a parody. So only 1/10 times is there really a threat. This used to happen alot.....until Nintendo did the same thing on steroids. Bad press ensued and Disney focused on other things.
So is Disney worse or better? Tough to say because it depends on the property, the popularity, and of course the money. When it comes to porn they are mostly silent. They could care less about some properties like "Aristocats" or "Mr. Magoo". But if it's in production hell or is locked away in the vault, they will definitely take notice.
