Oh no, the update is coming in October because Ren'Py ports take YEARS. YEARS I TELL YOU!!! Those ones that people complete in days? Pure fiction. You're not actually playing them because it takes YEARS!!!

Well, to be fair the guy behind Something Unlimited is supposed to hold to a schedule, and the last release was a mostly broken mess that added almost no new content, and was the first in a new release schedule of every second month that was supposed to mean larger updates. That's without taking into account the fact that there are characters in SU who haven't received new content in around a year and have sat unfinished while they keep adding new, less interesting characters who also receive a couple of scenes and then nothing for months upon months. Fans of Something Unlimited are more or less in a cycle of disappointed anger since the guy is pulling in nearly 10 K a month.

7 years of hatred....Dude still plays every update as well, and has for free. Man I wish I knew what I did to make you so angry. We just made some fun stuff, put it online and people gave us money.

Days you say? Care to point me to these? I contributed to one of the remakes and it was nowhere close to complete and that was a few months of effort, the other one I know of has been going on for at least a year at this point and is still adding stuff that's currently in SU.

I'm honestly curious, I'd prefer to play a ren'py version of it, I've said that for years.

The closest I got was getting a friend to port the android version that SU released to run on PC... it was buggy and needed some fixes, but it had what's in the android build, which is still more than any other effort I've seen so far.

The builds that may leak here will be void of the concept surround it. The final product is the goal, and that will get a completed tag on this site as the game will be free.

But when we release a progression for a character it's meant to not be complete! It is meant to be an example of the direction we want. We will manage the scope and from there we will iterate it with patron feedback until it's great. We feel this is much better than anticipating what you want, and missing the mark more than we hit it (aka our "previous record").

Look, don't get me wrong: I'm all in for SR7 touching on various IPs. Hell, I would be so glad to see some love for TMNT or, let's say, Mortal Kombat - but that's besides the point. What I'm trying to say is that... I just don't understand what this project can deliver on that any other X-Men game didn't at this point. I hope that I'm wrong.
And yes, I am kinda pissed that there's no news about SU or BnB2 - too bad for me.

In our opinion there is space for tons of projects. But again what will be lost on F95 is the direct input from patrons who will help shape the content of the game. This is a core concept to how we're building the game. Sure we design and do the thing, but the patrons help in shaping that.

Sorry about SU and BoB2. I wanted a fresh slate to do this pivot. And SU can take a nap for a few months out of 10 years.

What we're doing here with Project Powerslave is entirely different. We're combining a lean startup development model, and placing patrons right in the middle.

I'm weary of this as the pay pigs can skew steering in a direction not in the best interest of the game or development. Just look at how far COD has drifted with its microtransactions or the porn game (I forget the name) that was flooded with furries paying for that content

Absolutely different scenarios. The patrons aren't choosing what content goes in. They are helping make sure it's great. This isn't vote for your fav character. This is "is this shit good". If it's not we send it back to get fixed, until it comes back good.

Congrats on the new game announcement! It made me look up whatever the hell "Null Hypothesis" is since so many people kept mentioning it and now I see there's already an almost complete X-Men sandbox game I can play now instead of needing to wait for whatever your game ends up being.

Oriandu I have addressed your claims before. Another user asked you to provide them these projects as well. I'm interested in you pointing these projects to me as well. I watch every channel where our project is talked about, and have not seen a single example of what you claim is out there.
