I remember seeing something about a big update in August or September. Is that not a thing anymore?
You got me I shouldn't have used an absolute like that!I am not curious at all tbh, leave me out of this.
However, i am curious about bend or break 2. What's up with that?
I have stated previously that the announcement for BoB2 was done without the team approving it. I woke up on a Saturday to a promo, and I just wanted to announce we had began some brainstorming. Additionally we had only talked about the idea around a marketing plan for BoB2 once it progressed. That promo should never have been released, period.Good news! It's neither. In his infinite wisdom, Gunsmoke decided to start working on another game instead. Please ignore the poor Bend or Break 2 release that was announced in 2024 in the dark corner.
The MC is more like 4 elements trainer where you are "faceless". This gives us greater option for dialogue, and player power choices. In the new game are we going to plays as rogue or a male mc
Yes male, with our new approach to patrons shaping the project, this is 100% a possibility, especially if we see it brought up enough via Patreon feedback. Feedback from free users will come once the project is complete and released by US on platforms, not when it has been leaked.if the MC of this new game is going to be male can we pick our skin color?
So, is this idea still on the table or it got discarded?Hopefully getting BoB2 started in Nov and a release in Feb. That is unless people are requesting other things.
Not discarded, but our plan at that point with only a month or so of progress into Project powerslave was to see if we could get a complete game out the door in 4 months. Our scope widened (can't stop SR7 doing that lol) and he upped the quality significantly (those BG's are like 12-20hrs of work each, with night variations (SU BG's are 2-4hrs).So, is this idea still on the table or it got discarded?
I hope you guys keep your word. For SU, it's back being worked on after content for this release comes out. I would safely anticipate an SU update around Oct, and it's focus is Themy.
I get it, users that don't support are usually skeptical, it's been like that since 2015 since I started (Akabur was the target then). People don't know how much SR7 has to hold back his art. He did a Raven for Gotham and you would think he murdered peoples mothers with the reaction. In SU he can't explore or develop. Now he's excited to try things, and play in new environments (not plugins from 2016). SU keeps our lights on, and it always will. But creativity isn't fostered by doing the same shit for 10 years. Especially when you have people who don't support you tell you you're trash every two months, and expect you to give them that opportunity for another decade, on time.I hope you guys keep your word.
Also, I think having a cycle of games' development is better for SR7. It seems to me that he may has difficult time working just on one project. I remember smoke saying that SR7 had a hard time working on the cells and he was considering to "(quit?)" it. I'm trying to be optimistic.
Right, I mostly agree. I want to point out that my message had two subjects.I get it, users that don't support are usually skeptical, it's been like that since 2015 since I started (Akabur was the target then). And yes I (Smoke) said SR7 nearly quit during the cells. I don't blame him either, imagine drawing a character for 200+ hrs straight, then knowing you have to do it again 4x over because of costumes. Then realizing that you have that same job for the next 3 years. I'm still surprised he didn't put the tablet down permanently at that point.
I'm sorry I missed that first topic. Yes Themy will be the focus of the next batch of SU content. I'm going to anticipate Oct but Powerslave might run a touch longer to get our minimal viable game out.Right, I mostly agree. I want to point out that my message had two subjects.
1) hoping for an update in themyscira in oct(?). (The first sentence)
2) the subject that you talked about (smoke).
(The rest of the message)
Also the Raven cosplayer content was interesting for me, I think SR7 was satisfied with his time spent drawing and writing(?) her.
Sorry we will not consider a hiatus at all. Internally things are not hectic at all, everyone on the team understands the direction, and what they need to do. As well we had parallel development going on, with two engines since 2023. I do want to point out that we never had "release slots" this year. We're working on completion style updates. From releases there was never a parallel release, the update of two months had been changed and now it's undetermined and another project took the release slots available. The changes of development on the project that is ongoing and during an engine change is not reassuring at all. I would consider a hiatus if things become hectic.
6 months? This is our longest stretch without delivering "new" content. We still delivered a huge Android update. Armion82 at the beginning of this year we announced that we no longer were scheduling releases for the year. We're making sure that our updates are out within 2-4 months, but we can extend that if we feel the need. It's about putting out good stuff, not just stuff. So do we really change the release on 2 months to 4?
Or even 6 months?
is SU put on hold(indefinite period) or is it going to get an update this year?I get it, users that don't support are usually skeptical, it's been like that since 2015 since I started (Akabur was the target then). I would expect this year for sure. And SU will be a staple delivery from us.is SU put on hold(indefinite period) or is it going to get an update this year?
Wait till this guy figures out BoB was done in 2 weeks.
Done in two weeks. All the more reason why it should be easy to release a complete BOB2 in 4 months with bigger team? Why didn't you do it and get it out of the way? Should be simple for you, as you say.I would expect this year for sure. And SU will be a staple delivery from us.

I hope,we finally will get what was promised for Themyscira years ago.I'm sorry I missed that first topic. Yes Themy will be the focus of the next batch of SU content. I'm going to anticipate Oct but Powerslave might run a touch longer to get our minimal viable game out.

I want to point our that we understand change isn't necessarily re-assuring. These changes should have happened 5 years ago, and should be a case study in persevering when you should be pivoting.
Although there are loud voices, they don't line up with the metrics we're seeing.
