Windows Defender detects a virus. Plus it's a lil' bit sketchy that a .torrent file is archived in a 7z archive. Especially in light of this:

The update was due late October according to Avenger. Not looking promising, he hasn't posted in a few weeks

Avenger has posted now and says that the update will be coming in December sometime, but not this weekend.
Hopefully the wait is because he's doubling up the release with a Big Kuyash update. Hopefully...

Nothing sketchy about that actually. Some sites simply dont allow for certain file formats and .torrent files are too easy to be tracked by search engines etc. .torrent is a dying format anyways as using magnet links is a lot safer in general as you are not physically downloading a reference to something else on the net thus leaving less footprint.

He is not really milking patreon as he doesnt really have much patreons, most of his subs are actually sub directly to him via paypal and stuff like that, and you pay per release not monthly, so if he is not releasing updates he is not getting payed.

I commented on your plus part:
The zipping is a common thing on zippyshare and many other sites. Windows defender detects many things and reports first of all 'threats' which many confuse automatically with 'virus'. I have no personal stock in whatever you tried to download but dont get why you try to download something that obviously is threatening your system and then complain about something being fishy that is just regular practice on many sites.
The issue you had was not caused by anything connected to F95 to begin with as they know why they dont allow certain things to be linked here. And the OP has a perfectly fine working collection of links.
Not really getting the appeal of this game.
I mean, I see some promise here, but Jesus H Christ is the grind exhausting. Are you supposed to just work for months before you have enough $ to buy a fucking bottle of perfume that's evidently neccessary to get anywhere? Don't need to spend months on the job to buy something incomprehensibly expensive a 2nd time after doing it in real life.
I get the impression there are some impossibly specific combinations here to get to any sex scene that isn't a dream - I have the twins 'ready for anything' and never get to a sex scene. I have "Jedi" massage skill and no practical experience. I have an apartment I never get a chance to get anybody to.
OTOH, I can take off Mom's & Sister's shirts when they're sleeping like a fucking champ. But that's it, unless I dose them with sleeping pills that Stepsister is somehow immune from.
Oh yeah, I can fight like Jackie Chan, but still only have an 80% victory rate. And I can jerk off once per day, twice if I had a hardon when I got up and look at porn. And I can seemingly at unpredictably random intervals get Mom to watch me fap. With no affect on her attitude once the mistake of trying to go beyond sleepytime t-shirt manipulation proved ill-advised.
I really want to give this a chance, which is why this isn't a review. But how the fuck can anyone play this without a walkthrough that takes longer to read than the game's apparent "real life x4" playable length? Is this some Communist thing that we're just not gonna get on this side of the pond?

I try a short answer (will fail most probably):
SoB is following a tradition of games that use place + time = event(x) fires techniques. Which is why it feels like a nightmare grind as there are no obvious hints when and where those events will fire. It appeals very much to the sort of player that either roams randomly around and stumbles into these events or meticulously plots every step they did thus visiting places repeatedly at various times to find the time an event will actually fire.
Most if not all events will actually be either a step of a sequence or will at least be their own event chain that isnt depending on other chains. In plain words: pursuing one character at a time and seeing those events is mostly the safer route than trying to collect the entire harem right away.
There is (unfortunately) a lot of random decision making in those events based on your general stats but still adding a random outcome to it - saving often is your friend. SoB is simply not a game for a few hours to play and finish. It is more of a marathon endeavour.
My experience here is that this is what will happen to me in real life before I get to a sex scene with a single character in this game.
And that's *with* cheats.
I think I'd call it more of a timed, ordered labyrinth than a marathon. You have to visit steps in specific location and chronological sequence - some 100 clicks or more deep - that are arranged in a pattern you can't readily detect.
I'm gonna reclaim terabytes of space this game takes up for more entertaining fare, say, like the endless loop of the "Dumb and Dumber Most Annoying Sound In The World".

I play the game without any cheats, not even ingame ones, and i don't find it grindy. If you want all characters at once is grindy, but if you chronological take 2-3 characters in the same time is a whole story to follow. Playing as a first timer is hard, but as fan is easy once you know what path to take.
Couldn't agree more with Ionascu. Also a lewd scene should always come as a gameplay reward which you worked for - like a boss fight. I don't want to bang all family within a virtual month. Where's the thrill in that?? What I miss though are more in-game hints what the next step or trigger may be - especially in the early stages. Once you're on an established path with an NPC there are more hints.
