I haven't tried this new version yet, but I do have a question based on the current status of the translation(s). I noticed it was mentioned that you needed the video files from v0.31. So my question is the following:
If you take the video files of v0.31 and then copy the folders over for v0.32, and then use the files that mikesom is translating, will the ametalc MTL start file work?

If I'm understanding this correctly, if you're moving the video files from 0.31 over to 0.32 and using a QSP file from 0.32 then yes it'll still work. However if you're using a QSP file from 0.31 then you won't see any content from 0.32.

Hi, is it possible to translate a QSP game into other languages? How could I do? I would be interested in translating it into Italian... If I could have a file with all the text of the game (preferably in English), I could translate it and send it back translated, indicating both languages to facilitate insertion of the correct text.

QSPTools allows for exactly that, but it'll involve quite a bit of manual work even if you can use online translators to translate most of it.

Someone provided an XML file extracting all the text from the QSP. Search for the word XML and you should get it.

Or is it better to just use all the files that mikesom is listing without trying to combine them? I only ask, as someone stated earlier (based on another question) that ametalc's qsp file is currently the best option.

I think it's better to look at this question on the Russian forum through a translator or look for an English forum dedicated to this game engine.

I think you will find answers to questions about the translation there, or you will be able to find out the answers.

AMETALC's QSP is not compatible with mine. Since I do not change any variables, they remain in Russian.

No. The problem is not the missing video files Avenger has not written the triggers in this version to match those files, so you would need to re-write that whole section to match the files

The work on the triggers for the missing files is 20% done, these are the outlines he provides in the latest exe/start provided a few posts earlier. The start file provided a few posts ago has 20% of the new triggers included, but he has omitted the video files for the triggers he has yet to do, i.e. 80%.

As there are not 80% of the video file missing in this release, you can guess that he is reusing some of the video files in his new story rework but is going to rework the old story a good bit.

If you wish a finished game, prepared to wait some time. The translation project from the old game took a long time as it is not just translating Russian to English It's matching the Russian wording to English wording to cause the triggers even Avenger fucks this up a lot

Agreed but he might be new to the game and the game automatically writes your failure into used save and autosave so reloading the unsaved save one for example that you used to fuck it up (as it also saves on exit of the game) will still be fucked up. Thus the need for a back-up or two. Personally I back them up in the save dir in case of major fk up's

I'm doing about the same thing as you.
I use 1 save as the main one, and I use 2 when I go through the plot of a new character, after that, when I have passed, I rewrite 1 save.

Are you talking about Aunt Nina? So she was created as a character to kill the player's time. The same as the grandmother of the main character.

Although, no, the grandmother of the main character is like a "vacuum cleaner for money."

There's also occasional references to v30, that has a complete and working translation and might be better for newcomers as there is sufficient content to play through while waiting for a complete translation for v0.32?

There was also a reference to the GUI being completely separate and needing a different file?
