Pointless and above all annoying. I find that when I start getting agitated playing an adult game I stop... and I did here. Too much nonsense for my tastes, they should just make normal game, but then again with the promise of a few sex scenes I doubt any one would want it.

Does This game have hidden places or galleries exist? It's hard to get a clear chamming.
Or does anyone have a cheat?

So is this guy just going to release the same level for the next 3 years while his patreons pay the price for it? Jeez; what a waste of artistic talent. Could've been something amazing but there has been zero actual content output for literal years now

Little quick math here. Mithos is making $2700/mo on Patreon. Translates into $32,400/yr - Patreon fees are between 3-12% so (lets say) 12% or 3,900) that leaves him/her with $28,500. That's just above a teachers salary which is just above the poverty line in the US. We can only surmise he/she MUST be supplementing this income with a full time job to stay afloat. That ultimately means less time to spend developing. Anyone who's worked on a game knows it takes a long time. I've got 3 unfinished Unity projects, one of which dates back to Unity4.1 so... 2007 maybe? Glass houses.
Although, I do agree with the sentiments here, obsessing over the tiny intricacies of gameplay can slow things down. Lock down a single design idea and knock out the levels, scripted sequences, storyline, dialog trees, and everything else. You can ALWAYS add more content later which is always welcome.

I have seen project updates that mention having been busy with commisioned artwork.

I hope no one is questioneing wether he/she is nor should be working on this 24/7. At the same time, I don't feel like the updates/changes move towards a more completed game, but away from it.

This game has enjoyed a very stable ammount of interest. Finishing this would also be a real danger to that stable income. This causes me to really question the motivation behind any patreon game. Still, comparatively, this project has enjoyed a very transparent process.

So given all this. I'm can't really blame him/her. Generally, r-rated games aren't the biggest ambitions the creators wanted to achieve. It's about money. And this development has done a lot of things better than others. Despite a lot seemingly being busy work. But it does make me feel really good about not having backed it nor going to in the future even though I was really tempted to. It went from a tasty yet unrefined experience to an experience that was more less refined content that got less tasty. But I totally get the safety of working on tweaking a bit of gameplay, experimenting with the UI a bit, showing some good faith by following ludicrous suggestions by the patreons for a few thousands a month rather than finishing something up and having to start something new to keep the ball rolling.

Damn after all this time this game is still barebones.

I mean the animations are great so is the MC's design, but there is so little to do and to see, plus the gameplay is clunky as hell

so sad to read all this stuff. accidently found this game years ago and saw the creativity and passion of the dev and there were farts by solid adult artist of the mc. i thought yeah wait a few years and it will may not be finished but release version. sadly this game seems to be in the same state after the 4 years i found it....

i agree the dev has potential but having so much income for this amount of updates over the years. heck there are even nude models on patreon who make the same amount or even more money but patreons are dumb, dumb to support this the only thing worser is onlyfans and manyvids. especially onlyfans where you can support a pornstar with money for seeing her naked and maybe chat with her a bit. like WTF? how dumb and retarded can one person be to support this? these girls should have got a real job in the firstplace and then you can talk about a few nudes but girls who are intelligent and have a real job don't make nudes for porn vids for some anonymous community. maybe the word is dignity i searched for. and dignity does this dev also not really have to let a game like this rot over several years. but at least its not abandoned and even i normally don't like cartoony stuff that much i still like the style of this game - but i wont support it especially with such a progress

He is essentially getting people to pay him to learn Unreal Engine in his spare time. He had updates that had nothing to do with the game's aesthetics or its direction (like why is there a gun in the game?). Given enough time he will eventually find a Unreal developer job and abandon the project altogether. It IS good for him as the dev since he can get skills AND get paid for it. BUT it is not what people are paying him for.

Ehm, patreon literally has a tiered reward system. Either way, the premise of patreon is to financially aid people in their passionproject and get something in return.

What is has become, though, is "I give you money, you give me porn" "OK, gimmi money, I make porn" Real passionprojects advance a lot faster for a lot less money. But if the patreons get enough for what they think it worth, than it all works out. I'm not complaining, because I'm not paying and Mithos gets to do what he wants to, even if that isn't trying to make a game. It's pretending to. And to be fair, most patreons and users here pretend to want to play a game, but just want advanced masturbation

Hey fellow perverts, let's try to redirect the conversation back to the game. More specifically, let's get out of this Patreon discussion and keep it more narrowly focused on the game called Magical Investigation of Meridiana.
