yeah this charm rework has kinda borked alot of things. dosnt help almost all actions in this game are bound to E. it gets broken between grabbing items and "draining" enemies, dashing over the door[dispite it being a glitch] is the only way to advance now, but the controls can bug up so hard now the barrel cant be grabbed to open the next switch, and while its in this borked posistion, enemies can just run up and do the deed, which...is...probably not the intention? not that you can complain since it...solves the current problems.

fastest way to see the stuff is to just hit continue to skip to the last area, hit reload checkpoint after falling out the map to get to the cabin, and jump down from said cabin if you wanna see the stuff under the waterfall. im glad the teleport was changed but at the same time, everything else is....too broken too really make it work

This game is going nowhere, there has been pretty much 0 progress since 2 years. Which is sad since the MC model is super hot and the animations are great. Content is just getting less.

oof just tried the new charm system, I don't understand why it was changed to this. This will be really awkward when there are multiple monsters you trying to capture.

I did like the instructions though, the wait and follow is cool.

Just want the old rapid click on E and either 1 key or both left/right mouse click to start sex scene.

In theory the new charm system is better, but in practice, it is worse.

I didn't like the constant clicking of E, as it wears out the mouse, hurts my finger after a while and another enemy can come and totally interrupt it.

The new system is nice in that the old stuff are gone, but it is really hard to actually charm things. Specifically:
1. It is hard to tell the boundaries of the spell
2. It is hard to tell how long the spell will last
3. It takes a lot of forethought in placement, as it takes 4-5 seconds to cast the spell and then you have to lure enemies into it, and hope the spell lasts long enough to capture them

Some solutions:

1] If the ground was lit up, say bright yellow, at the edges of the spell, then I'd know the entire size of the hitbox, of the spell for luring enemies to it
2] If the cloud visibly changed colors, fading out, more and more, then I'd know when the spell is about to elapse. Or have the border (above) slowly darken to black, to indicate when the spell is about to wear off.
3] It would be nice to "pre-charge" a cloud. So, whenever you are alone, masturbate to charge up a charm cloud. Then be able to deploy it instantly, at a moment's thought, often catching enemies unawares (much like how a Tarantula spews a stream of webs at its foes, when it gets close enough, catching them offguard). This pre-charged cloud could dissappear after say 15 seconds, so you'd have to ready a new one periodically.
4] It would be nice to have a way to specifically target an enemy, and lure them to the cloud. Say a telepathic attack that grabs them and only them, and they rush towards where you stand... likely in the cloud.
5] It would also be good that if you masturbated, or had sex in the cloud, this would refresh the duration of the cloud. This would allow you to potentially capture multiple foes with one cloud, and be able to not have to go through a lengthy time period to "pre-charge" another one.

It would also be good if after having sex with you, they remain charmed and loyal. Maybe having sex with minions, gives them a temporary combat buff as they were able to relieve their sexual stress (from being around such an attractive, barely dressed, female). Also maybe have them become hostile again, if you don't address their sexual stress (which could build up over time).

Just my ideas on how to improve it though. Doubt the developer will see this though. The developer seems to be very good at modelling and sound design, but terrible at game design or user interfaces. I happen to be pretty good at game design, though, and not good with modelling and sound design. Anyway...

The charm system didn't need a change at all IMO. It was easy, understandable and functional.

At this point it's obvious how directionless this dev has been.

The most fun I've had with this is still the 10-18 version. It was a quick combat/stealth game. If it had more content (more enemies, animations, areas to be randomized maybe loots/gear) and some bugfixes. It would have been an amazing, simply rogue-like.

Randomize treasure (sexy cosmetics), some kind of gallery and you've got replayability.

Every feature added since has made the gameplay clunky and unintuitive. Like, why is pausing the game during a spell any better than selecting a spell and cast it at the cursor? The hold vs tap was an awesome way to make the spells have more depth without hassle. Why the hell was the gun needed? Make group sex add mana and single add health. Add a health threshold for charming to add difficulty and some boss at the end guarding treasure so you need to save up mana for big spells to get it's health low enough. Imagine giants getting a piece of Meridinia. Game would've been awesome.

I know this has been discussed and there is a consensus about what's up. I'm just bummed as the game was really fun to actually play for what it was and had potential to be something really worth playing. Now it's just something to open up now and than, get a wank out and leave.

The old proc-gen environments was more enjoyable than this fixed "puzzle" solving gameplay we get. Mostly I try to blink out of bounds so that I don't have to do it.

Its like the game doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it a platformer? Is it a porn game? Is it a hack and slash? Is it a puzzle-solver like Portal?

Like the porn content is very unintuitive. Enemies clearly rough her up during sex, which is fine and all, but why would a mentally dominated foe be ordered to rough up the dominator. That doesn't make sense. And the current way of charming them is unintuitive as well. Just because there is a love cloud, enemies can pass through it without allowing you to charm them. And even with your charmed foes, it is very hard to get them to have sex with you. I think that if E is used to charm them, then a different keybind like F, is used to get them to fuck... otherwise you constantly finger yourself, and they don't do anything.

I personally think that they should create two titles; a gallery, where you can freely spawn in charmed foes and fuck as you wish, and an actual game, where she doesn't fuck her charmed foes, but gets them to fight her battles. Thoughts?

I don't know the specific versions, so not sure what version is the 10-18 one you refer to.

My personal favourite is the one with the puzzles and then the small coastel town area with the monsters.

I pretty much agree with both of you're points, for the most part, this has so much potential but sadly the dev is going around in circles tweaking things they don't need to tweek.

I'm hopeful the dev will start to build more levels and start to piece a game together but doesn't appear that happen anytime soon or at all.

However, this does inspire me and give me ideas for a potential VN and even a game of my own someday in the future.

The 10-18 one was where the game randomly generated a series of paths. So each time you played, it would play out a bit differently. I think it was still pre-made chunks, but the order in which you saw those chunks was different each time.

The 10-18 version also had the far simpler tap-like-mad charm system (basically QTE), a spell wheel (not this stupid draw a spell crap; the dev should have learned from Eternal Darkness that this way of casting is a pain in the ass), there was no gun, no platforming, no puzzles, and the tentacle spell I believe still worked.

Overall it was the better version because it allowed you to jump into the action, rather than have to jump through hoops (literally in the current build's case) to get to the sex.

What monsters were taken out? I ask because the Oct-2018 build has all the monsters that the current build has.

Maybe. But that would have been before 10-18, as that is the first build I ever tried.

Does anyone know how to get the debug camera to show the class of an entity? The summon commands don't work, and apparently, someone managed to find out what they were by using the debug camera.

10-18 build sounds similar to the stable build on the front page unless that link been updated since I d/l it.

You would drop into a map and then make your way over a fence after picking up a stick, then the map would change and there were multiple maps. Like one had a fast river you had to go across and 1 didn't, which was a fun version.

I still prefer the version with the small coastal town which I believe was the 27th Feb version which now no longer available on the front page. Also, you don't have to do the puzzles every time on this version, you do it once and then can load up and "restart from checkpoint", then you start right at the town.

I tried the restart from checkpoint, when I got to the town. Every time I tried, the game would crash.

Also apparently Mythos released a new version, 2-3 days ago. The yiff party has the link for it, if anyone desperately wants to play it. They improved the whole "new" charm system. Its better, but still has its issues.

hopefully, the new version Mythos released will be updated here at some point. never heard of yiff till today but not overly eager on using their site.

Amazing, it actually got worse and it's now unplayable cause new charm system is fucked.
Also textures are now loading only when you are in certain spots so you can get stuck inside walls.
Wonder what will be broken next.
Edit: Apart from our dreams hopes and souls.
