I caved and resorted to UNREN for this one:

It's a bug that happens if you raise her corruption higher than 5.

I'm getting An Exception has occurred any time I got to an area where Tori or Isabelle are so it's impossible to complete even half of the update

The Tori exception is caused by raising her corruption above 5 (developer seems to have failed to limit this as they have done with other stats). I haven't encountered the Isabella exception, hopefully someone else can help.

There is no console access in the mac version.

You can just drop a dev-mode file in the 'game' folder that will override any blocks by the dev. Won't need to Un-Ren then.
