I was thinking about a simple system:
I think you should limit equipping things to the ship itself, since there's already a lot of clicking, choosing, transferring, thinking, searching, buying, etc. It's fun, but its also time consuming.
Furthermore, there's already a resource which exists in abundance, and doesn't have enough applications. Money. The base could be the money sink.
Furthermore, 'attacks on the base' don't sound that fun. A sensible person would keep their base as secret as possible, and relocate it, if it ever actually gets attacked.
So I'd prefer a base that is purely beneficial, and not a liability. How that's implemented would be whatever you want.

I'm unsure what the pain point on Base Attacks should be, but one easy money sink could be power for the shield and ammo/power for the defense guns, and the player would see it as a cash reserve they need to occasionally fill every so often.

Ooh, idea. What if the base had some sort of resource or cash generating system (that a player would choose if it's on or not) and without enough defenses, the base gets raided by pirates/competition and any saved up amount of that resource gets stolen. Not the stuff in the actual warehouse (since that's a players long term storage for valuable items), but something that's outside the warehouse. That way, a player is incentivized to come back to base every so often in order to both collect cash/resource, and restock the defense supplies.
(and depending on how many upgrade options there are, that might change the income ratio to time and/or how often the defenses need refilling).
And if a player doesn't want to engage in this system, then they can simply choose to not have a passive income from the base, and thus not need defenses.
side note, this would also possibly allow for this feature to not be connected to story progression, since a player can choose to engage in it at any time after the base is acquired, or not. So a game started on day 1 or day 300 [I don't remember the actual end-of-game day from the start options] could in theory not have any of this passive income and base defense mechanic,

I had the idea of relocating the bot arcade to the base, but the arcade is technically accessible earlier than the base, and it already has its own risk mechanics in the form of bot wear and tear, and possible runaways.

But I'm getting excited without knowing how difficult this idea might be to implement at such a late stage in game development, so use what you want YV.

that's a quite good idea with the resource gathering.
That's also an illusion of time that has passed when you visit the base again after a few days and some commodities have accumulated and maybe some wear has occurred in your equipment. I'll have to think about that feature. I think priority for version 2.3 are the surface missions and the away missions using the RPG system that is introduced now with version 2.2..

I think I've done as much as I can, with the following images/quests I can't seem to complete:

Quests:

The Chambermaid. No idea at all where to find the Chamermaid.
Found the hint: Occasionally, you will hear a strange sound around your ship on the dock in Qatar. Scan your ship with the hyper scanner and you will encounter Trixie who is looking for a ship to get away from the station.

The Multiverse Pod. Not done it yet. Waiting until I've done everything else.

The Way Home At Last. Do I need to complete the Multiverse Pod or The Chambermaid, as I can get to the last location, but it's all offline and every time I Talk to Vee I just get the standard response.

SPJ Quests.jpg

Gallery:

Hack the lock and keep a particular item from Nimhe';s retrieval box. As I played the game withouth the walkthrough until I got stuck, I assume that I've missed this image and ca't get it. What item was I meant to take?

Crush your enemies, grind them to dust. I guess I'll just have to kill more...

Finish Expert Level Discplining Moira/T'Ris/Khelara - Krell Outfit. I have maxed disciplining and have no idea how to trigger these 3 gallery images.

Surprise Ylvee in her quarters after giving her a special accessory. Oops, didn't know she was onboard, as she doesn't show up as a red marker.

Pay Ylvee's cabin a visit when she takes a shower. Same again. Opps.

Ingratiate yourself with Seraphine to get a distratcion (nude). No idea how to get this one.

Ingratiate yourself with Seraphine to get a distratcion (nude) - Seraphine BJ when she is nude. You can do it while in Krell space or when she is in a Revealing uniform.

Heyooo....
I hve a issue and i don't know if it's a bug or i haven't done something.
My reputation is 30 but i can't get weapon license at station control. I read somewhere that i have to find station admin but there's nothing else to interact with in 'space dock'.

Expert level Discipline - You cannot have the butt plug inserted when you use your last action. I had that same issue when I played and discovered that if your final action still has the plug inserted, it doesn't count for the base Krell Outfit discipline.
Nime's box - There is an issue of Flyboy magazine that you were supposed to steal from it to unlock that particular image. There is no way to go back and get it either (other than by cheating/console commands).
Crush your enemies - There are particular enemies that you need to kill, 20 Obliterators and 20 seekers. Obliterators are (Rare and tougher) swarm ships and (I think) seekers are basic swarm ships you encounter.

There is no requirement for you to complete every quest. Once you have access to the Waystation and have completed all of the requirements for it, you can activate it and end the game.

Just a suggestion: The multiverse pod lets you create an 'import file' for use if you start a new game. There is no need to use it if you don't intend to start a new game.
If you plan on playing the game again, you can use the multiverse pod to send things like weapons, shields, AI cores, Bots, torpedoes, and whatever else you want to send forward to your new game to give yourself a big boost up at the start of the game.

Hello and congratulations, it's an amazing game!

Any chance of a game focused on the sexbots? I find the idea of owning a shop and/or an arcade pretty good

You dock at the station, you click the same offices you clicked on to get the mining laser. It has the words "Station Control" above it..

What message do you get if you click there?

Actually.. let me back up.

Did you make a bot with high enough intelligence to get told to talk to Nimhe? That starts the whole sequence that leads here.

You can get bot crates from the bigger meteorite field (mystery boxes), buy them from shady, find them in the discarded cargo in the interway of Altari station and if you already sold and rented out some bots have Nhime buy them on her daily Quests.
You should try to get a brain cube of generation 2 if possible and than just reroll to get 150 IQ.

The weapon license is connected to the pirate outpost Questline so once you get aquinted with them you'll need to aquire it as part of the Quest... with 30 reputation you can return the next day and upgrade it to level 2 and after another day to level 3

i'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game.

The sex arcade would be a game concept that in my opinion is better for an idle game and for that the game engine is not suitable enough.
I might make a small app project after space journey X with another engine probably godot and some idle mechanics will be in there. Maybe a sex arcade.

I can't seem to unlock the last 2 T'Ris images, "Check T'Ris's Racy/Revealing Uniform in her quarters".

I've tried with/out plug and it just isn't doing it. What am I missing?
