You can still bring her shakes.Seraphine isn't asking for drinks in my game anymore, got no way to get favor points
lol, didn't know there was even a 'quest page' I've seen quests come up but sort of remembered or fallen over what was needed. Not sure whether you have acquired Nimhe yet (the Hacker). Look at Iltari Entertainment district at 21-22:00.
Nimhe + Botlab unlock access to the Pirate base, your Chief Engineer and all the rest.
I designed the first Star system to be a bit of a Tutorial for the early game mechanics, so I am always interested to hear where players get hung up in the early stages. Can you let me know whether the quest hints on the quests page are not helpful enough in this early stage?
but bot building needs someone to do that....right? I have plenty of partsStart building bots. Bots lead to the unlocking of the pirate base, which also leads to the unlocking of weapons, which leads to bounty missions (from which you can get tons of AI Cores), the ability to raid the precursor junkyard, and the entire rest of the story.
...I'm honestly impressed that you managed to unlock the other decks before you even recruited Nimhe, because I didn't think that was possible. Okay, go to Iltari station and talk to the bartender. She'll tell you to talk to Nimhe, and give you a reference so that she'll give you the time of day. Nimhe will give you a small fetch quest to recruit her (you'll need some money for it; I think it's 50k plus you need to buy a certain ship component from Shady, but I don't remember off hand how much the ship component is). Once you've recruited Nimhe, you'll need to talk to her to tell her about the botlab, and then talk to her again once she's also in the botlab (Noon-3pm, at this point in the game) to get the "botlab Introduction" option in her dialog tree. That'll unlock bot construction.but bot building needs someone to do that....right? I have plenty of parts

yeah, I got there just by backtracking and taking to everyone, but thanks for the reply....I'm honestly impressed that you managed to unlock the other decks before you even recruited Nimhe, because I didn't think that was possible. It's in the game. Most, though not all, screens (I think this is absent on the starmap screens, for example, but I'm on a different computer and can't check, right now), in the lower left-hand corner, there are a bunch of icons (these might be hidden if you've clicked the "Hotkeys" button to hide them). This includes a hotlink to your Quests page as well as some quick-travel buttons for frequently used locations (which I never use, so I don't remember what they are), the character stats page, and a button to advance time by an hour. Also, because I missed it myself for the first hundred or so hours I played the game, you can also select the "gallery" and the "mission log" pages from buttons on the top of said quest page.yeah, I got there just by backtracking and taking to everyone, but thanks for the reply.
There was mention in a another reply about a 'Quest page'...is that something in the game or was it a reference to the WT?
oh, those buttons...well I must have accidentally hidden them, but I know I tried the 'Q' thinking that was quests but I think that's like a skip time or something. I can't see anything that explains what the various ones do (some I guess are self explanatory) but also I don't see a reference in the WT for either 'hotkeys' or 'hot keys' - is it even in the WT and if not how do we find out what each one does....It's in the game. I mean right from the start I was wondering why 'B' means 'Use'...why not 'U' for 'Use' - is this written in English?
I feel that the name of the ship is correct as I am just 'bumbling' along at the moment
Oh, so 'P' is 'Active Quests'....baffling - but hopefully that will help now.
--------------------------------
Can I be honest and say that if you hadn't been around to help me I'd have dropped this game already. I've had a few others where things (to me) were also as confusing but I either got trolled for asking for help (by people who had played the same game for years) or no help at all but plenty of comments about other stuff made.
I cannot thank you enough for all the help you've given

Nimhe becomes relevant once you tried to enter the Precursor site and are chased off by the Guardian. Then you get the quest / idea to acquire a hacker to help you...lol, didn't know there was even a 'quest page' I've seen quests come up but sort of remembered or fallen over what was needed.
I have nobody yet except for T'Ris and 'V' lurking somewhere (and no idea how to finalise her addition to the crew).
'Botlab'...is that the lab on MC's ship? I have that and I've opened up the crates that I've picked up so far, but it does say that I need a specialist to use the lab, same for a lot of things.
I'll check in the Entertainment lounge at the times you said...I vaguely remember something being said about going somewhere late, but as I said I am not even sure where the quest page is or even if that would turn up there.

well I found Nimhe but she told me to get lost...so not clear what to do as the first mention of her in the WT is 'With Nimhe onboard,...' No indication where to find her (though I got that now) or how to get her to join up...all in all, as a 'walkthrough' it just doesn't work
I am very certain i described the entire pony quest section in the WT. You do not need to give it to her, you just interact with Vee and she takes care of itHow do I get the Pony outfit for Seraphine, it don't show up in the pet shop ??
yes, I now have a notebook by my side, but I learn better by repetition. Each of the quests has a little hint button which most of the time spells it out what to do.
Well lessons learned from that is to make some kind of primer in a real walk-through fashion to at least get you up to the pirate base
yes, after a bit of fumbling I have Nimhe and also the engineer (who is stunning in my eyes)Nimhe becomes relevant once you tried to enter the Precursor site and are chased off by the Guardian. Then you get the quest / idea to acquire a hacker to help you...
To avoid lockups like that in 240 I have now key "Q" to open the Q_uest screen (instead of P, which now P_asses time...) and I added a help mode switcher (blue arrows) in the quest screen to make it more obvious that the screen modes can be switched. Not being a UI designer I am always surprised what can go in unintended ways regarding accessability...yes, after a bit of fumbling I have Nimhe and also the engineer (who is stunning in my eyes)
