Well, I personally prefer 1st person for most games, since I'm all for immersion - especially when you can actually build your own character but I also prefer 3rd person for adult games and games with predetermined character. Well, its MC's first day as a cadet, so it's expected he'll get picked on. Wouldn't really make much sense otherwise, though with time you'll be able to turn things around.
