He's not actually going to defect though, right? I mean, if he does would that not surely mean that he loses access to all the PLIs since I can't imagine they'd be joining him, especially Cis.
Defection is one of the endgames (you won't have t worry about him leaving for years!) However, going in that direction will be a story running in tandem with the main plot if chosen.

The current plan is for your PLI to join you in whatever path you take - whether through love or a light application of mind-control o_O You might find yourself pitted against LIs, though. For instance, if you join the Rebellion Fatima and Sam would join too, but Anna and Cole would remain in SpaceCorps unless they're your PLI.

LMAO RanliLabz I was about to post your own tribalism might affect a hidden tribalism score with your PLIs. On another note: I can see some PLI's already possibly shift alliances. Cis seems pretty open minded towards other species or rebelling whereas Cole seems more Humans rule type but could see him joining a rebellion too after some "convincing".

Completely :D Cis and Sam are very flexible - but Fatima is geared towards Rebellion and Cole towards Terran Supremacy if you haven't intervened (Anna is Moderate). As far as Ethical Stats go, different PLIs will track you in different ways - it's easier to pull Sam towards low Obedience than Cole, for instance; or to increase Anna's faith than Fatima's.

I get it know thanks. However, isn't obediance and tribalism opposite? I mean it looks like the MC can be both loyal to SpaceCorps (max obediance) and pro-xeno (min tribalism). Isn't that impossible?

That's actually a pretty good way to defect. Obedience doesn't necessarily mean to SpaceCorps - it could be to the Cervaxian Empire (or the Righteous Path if you max out Faith). In the 'Progression' screen, you'll be able to see where you loyalties currently lie.

So if we don't want to fight against Cis, we're going to have to make the PLI but then we might have to fight against Anna?
That sounds like a really tough decision.

OK, so, let's say Fatima has a rebellious spirit and can likely go in that direction even without being a PLI, and that Sam can be taken that way too because of his friendship with the MC, surely he can bring Anna and/or Cis too because if he's able to have and maintain close relationships with them, then they'd want to join him too, no?

If we saved Anna and have some romantic sexy time moments with her, and we also have some romantic sexy time moments Cis that build up relationships with each, even if they're not the PLI, it could potentially be a bit disappointing to put in all that work to then have them say, "no, I stand with the Terrans and you're my enemy now".

This scenario would remind me a lot of BaDIK where the MC can do everything with Maya and Josy yet get rejected by them simply because of his Affinity score which really shouldn't have an effect since he's been nothing but good to them and built up good relationships with them. Even if we can't do everything with Cis and Anna, to be able to do at least 70-80% of things with them and then have them reject joining him would be a like this.

Holy Bacchus in BaDIK that was similar but more like friendzoning.

Is pretty much the reason behind the reason for this I presume.

I recommend not trying to 'game' them, but to pick the options that best fits your personal views
In all truth, though, it is a plot growth point used in similar games/movies/series. It also helps to flow easily with vanilla interest as opposed to a little more taboo/xeno/kinks interest too. Like as an example, if straight is the interest of one player, Cole's and Sam's interest won't matter, those not wanting Xeno/furry/monster girls also get to align more towards their liking too.

I haven't played BaDIK, so I can't comment on that. However, this is different to an arbitrary 'Affinity' score, since it will rely on the characters core Ethical framework. For shorthand, Anna is a traditionalist, Fatima a libertarian, Sam a liberal, Cole an elitist and Cis a pragmatist.

That would make it hard for Anna to Defect, Sam to raise the black banner of SpaceJihad, or Cole to join the Rebellion rabble... however much they like the MC (or even love him!). This is to make the story more realistic than just being based on score, and it would be quite a dramatic moment to find yourself on opposite sides to your former friends.

Precisely! Ethics do a bit of channelling according to your preferences - high Tribalism will keep you from being repeatedly offered 'lovey-dovey' options with xenos you don't like (although will retain some of the darker options ;)).

Look dev you have good potential here with all the freaky kinks you have in option makes it even better but you have to understand our MC is basically a looser at least his personality is and trust me noone wants to play as a looser.
Its like you know fucking grow a pair of balls situation for MC.
So maybe make our MC less looser ??
Hey, I want my MC to be VERY loose! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Your plans for this game never cease to amaze me.
It's such an intrinsic and detailed lore in a genre that would be fit of a triple A game franchise, not a VN porn game made in Renpy. You keep raising the stakes and I love it. So excited to keep playing and discovering all your plans.

Also, the "Make Ganymede great again" choice in the corridor when you first meet the purple alien never fails to crack me up (I played this game a thousand times but my brain just doesn't register the female characters names... I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I'm a dick loving homo...)

Wow, those are some very nice sentiments  Thanks alex!

Lol - I spend most of my time thinking about it and I’m constitutionally over-ambitious  Sadly, I doubt you’ll ever get to see all my ideas and backstories (there’s so much that I won’t live live enough to make them) - but there’s plenty to discover yet!

Also good to hear that some of the jokes have replay value :p The purple alien is LT. Kex, btw :alien:

Could always go with a gaiden type of after stories for some of the more interesting ones. With what your doing with spacecorps I can see them being a hit.

I have made thing really hard for myself
Well, making a thing hard is one of the points of adult games, so I guess you're doing it right.

As for Tribalism stat - I thought that low tribalism with high obedience was more of a "working to make Spacecorps more equal for anyone" path than rebellion. Guess I was off my mark quite a bit?

Can I do this without sounding like a dick? Probably, but I'm not going to try right away.

Some people have already complained that the MC isn't some destined hero who gets everything handed to him on a silver platter, which caused the majority of people counter with "it's a nobody who got thrown into a living world that existed before him". And that's one of the strong points in this game (and the most ambitious). What you're asking is exactly that. Just because you're friends with someone, you demand they submit to your point of view with no regards to their own. Let's be honest (to use one of Ranli's examples), even if you're ballsdeep in Fatima, the moment she asks you to go full Rebellion, while you personally are pro-obedience, you'll go obedience, so it would be hypocritical for you to complain she doesn't follow you. Yes, the standard "double standard" is that you're the MC, but once again, it's a world that existed before the game started, and that includes the characters.

I'm sure, in a perfect game, you'd be able to spend some time with them to convince them of your point of view, but, let's be honest, who wants to see a political debat in a porn game (especially if that debat ranges from space Nazi's to anarchists to religious fanatics). I know it's satire, but a lot of people don't always get satire (which is why it took so long for Starship Troopers to become a cult classic, why Showgirls flopped and why the Robocop remake was a bust). So, for the sake of gameplay, we're limited to sexy time. So, while you may be able to persuade your best friend why they should be pro- or anti-Trump, you won't be able to do the same with your fuckbuddy.

I like this aspect, to be honest, because it makes the other characters real. Also, it makes me look forward to the complaints in the future. While other games have abbundant complaints how we don't get more scenes with whatever character, or how we don't get certain fetishes with whatever character, we'll be seeing complaints about political and personal views of our fuckbuddies. "I love how Cole sucks my balls while he jerks me off, and it always makes me happy when I bottom out his bottom and fill him with my jizz, but I hate the fact he doesn't want to hang out with my lowlife friends! Can anyone make a mod?"

Any compressed versions? Checked the first page, nothing mentioned. Figured best to ask before plowing 200 more pages.
