For everyone that's been having trouble with viewing the straight scenes, here's the relevant bit of the update post:

Basically, if you had already started week 3 before this update, as a straight player, you've locked yourself into viewing the bi gym scenes. The only way to fix this is to go back to an earlier save from day 8 or before to begin the week properly - the shower/breakfast/gym scenes will then play out correctly.


Is it working?


You're not supposed to see a new Sam scene as a gay player, it's bi/straight only. As a gay player you'll only see an MC solo shower scene.


You've probably encountered the same issue as the straight players by starting week 3 before day 16 started development, and now you're locked into bi gym scenes. If you go back to an earlier save from day 8 or before you'll be able to start week 3 properly and see the intended gay gym scene.


At this point in season 2 the main premise has kind of settled on "daily space academy life, but with aliens and psychokinetic magic". The shifter story has only recently been finished, relative to in-game time, so I assume the intent is to have a bit of a lull before introducing a new big plotline. But it doesn't help that almost the entire year was spent developing a 'filler' bi week 2, so the progression feels extra slow.

But now that week 3 is finally here, the minor plot threads should be getting picked up again. The dev schedules teased a continuation of the Dan/Lazarus storyline that will feature three new missions (iirc Lazarus, Aurora, and MAX will each get a scene), and there will also be an extended flashback of Cole's missing year that will finally reveal what happened with him and Bailey. Cousin Felix is also supposed to be arriving on the ship soon-ish, iirc, and he's likely to be a major love interest for the main character, so he will probably get a lot of focus and scenes.

I realise now that all of these plots are focusing almost exclusively on the male characters, but tbf these are all very popular characters who placed high on character polls (and their stories won the storyline polls too, iirc). Though I would imagine Cis will be showing up more this week, as an M/F alternative to Felix, so it won't be a total cockfest (probably).

Thanks for the news but since I got anna as a main love interest in one of my saves the other being ci I haven't really seen any progress on her story or what I would like to see is the bully character I forget his name try to continue his plot on trying to steal her but failing miserably. Also want to see Mc, ci, and felix storyline goes most likely three way.

It's completely separate.

You know. I always wondered something.... and then I forgot. But now it just randomly popped up back in my head. What was up with Fatima? Like I heard she was popular so her getting more spotlight I get. But I remember her coming across more of a fwb type deal at 1st. And it was a wee bit strange how her scenes with the MC got really.... loving and romantic. Pretty much usurping Anna for the role. Who I also heard isn't as popular, but still. Like there was progression between the two. But I don't recall it being that much like that.... least not yet. Not that I hated it mind you. Fatima is top tier and the scenes were sweet enough. But I remember it feeling a bit.... off.

Fatima is also a primary love interest and was planned from the beginning. She just is a lot more casual about sex and is there as a character that helps the MC out of his shell instead of the other way around. Anna is just supposed to have a slower arc (and likely a more vanilla one) than her.

forgive me if I misunderstood something, but is it necessary to understand that Jimmy and Ci-Ci will not be in the same department? So they're not destined to be pilots on the same ship? I didn't see any flycorps appointments on Jimmy's list - soldiers, scientists, or even sex workers but not space pilots. If Jimmy has enough brains to be a scientist, then surely he has enough brains to pilot a ship, right?

Problem is it's not mostly gay content. The game tries and generally succeeds at delivering an even split of content. People complain that the straight content in this update is not to their taste, which is fair. What is not fair is arguing that "not for them" is equivalent to there being a bias against straight players.

It was planned from the beginning to give an edited version of the bi scenes to straight players, which resulted in them having a shower and gym scene on day 16. So the developer needed to add gay equivalents to fill out the timeslots for gay players. This was then interpreted as making new scenes for gay players only, but ignores that the edited versions required additional work as well, like making a new intro for the shower scene that has about as much renders as the gym scene for gay players.

Problem is that it's mostly gay/bi content, straight content is an afterthought and people like you don't admit it.
The bi scenes are still bi scenes, unless you want to tell me that if Sam is licking the MC's dick it still straight.
