Given their progress has been better with the remake, but not by much.
most people come strong out the gate when it comes to a remake of a project cause they're so full of piss and vinegar. Once it sets in that you have to actually make the game and not just the concept that'll likely be when he burns out exactly how the original did. Suddenly having to make an actual level with a direction and implement a progression system with powerups to give you something to shoot for and do he'll likely go back to his usual update progress of one new thing every other year but its totally not abandoned guys.

I don't know about that. He was making good progress between 2015 and 2018 on the Flash version. It's just that Flash the player hit EOL and Flash the program kept crashing on him and losing progress (as someone who used Flash up to CS6 I can confirm the instability), so he kind of hit a roadblock he wasn't skilled enough to remove. The downtime between 2018 and 2020 was him learning an entirely new engine, and since then there's been a lot of systems implemented but no releases because he's just adding too much to the game too quickly (and probably adding a ton of bugs that need to be fixed). Honestly the biggest pain in the ass is the animation, which he's been burning right through like it's nothing. With the code a lot of it can be straight dupes from tutorials or CTRL+C CTRL+V'd from Stack Exchange since it's a basic platformer game.

Exactly. I was about to post the [First Time?] meme for him. Manga authors got nothing on urielmanx when it comes to multi-year hiatus lol

you've to be kidding me .__________.
Sadly no, he's decided to make a Five nights at freddies porn game after being disappointed with the existing ones. He claims it's a sideline and he's not dropping work on space escape but even so I'm not expecting any updates this year anymore.

How do you have a sideline when your mainline is a thing from the days when flash platformers were king and you've still barely got anything several years after that platform died?

Part of being a solo dev with no pressure to actually complete it besides personal satisfaction presumably. They only work on it when they feel like it, currently their inspiration has led them to this new project instead.

I might be wrong here but if I remember correctly this chibi edition was actually a side project to test the Godot engine, since the non-chibi game was based on Shockwave which was no future proof option.

man I know that we mexicans are famous for "beeing lazy", but this is borderline idiotic, he does not make any type of update in years and abandon any progress he makes. the idea is good, the gam is entretaining and the art i better than most, he got it all and does nothing just becouse .__.
i mean, seriusly, he just need to add like, a couple enemies and some levels and that's it, grat game :/

na, he already has the assets, I tried to make a game myself som time ago, and as long as you have the original PNG images, you can find a lot of compatible programs, i managed to make a basis that i still have in unity knowing basically nothing about making games (I think I just needed to add the armor sistem but the animations i made were pretty descent)

You can mark this game as 'abandoned'. The author recently posted a post that instead of developing it, he's been degrading all this time, and then decided to make a new game, another hentai clone of FNAF.

The fuck more does he want from porn fnaf games? Fuzzboob came out a few months ago and its great.

I don't think you can do much with fnaf, and seeing this guy's track record, it won't get very far.
If you focus easy bucks over finished projects the whole thing becomes easier.

Hobbies are fun, too. That's how I consider everything Uriell has done. He works on things, but when he feels like it. Which is fine for killing time and fiddling with things you like.

But as a single developer, well...A lot of it is discipline. You need to be tenacious. He's good on his artworks, but I feel he spends too much time arting, and less time putting to work the scripts and code.

Oh man, back in the days, they would call you a 'code monkey.' Those people just sat there and typed \{Booleian = True} all day.
