Have you played a newer release than what's posted here? If so, I would be eager to hear what's different.

I can't blame Nemiegs for wanting to earn on his creation, and any time artistic vision meets the commercial world, the artistic vision will need to compromise (because the rest of the world sure won't). It's disappointing for longtime fans, but if it keeps his lights on and the updates coming, then on balance it's probably for the best.
I agree with you completely, and I don't blame Nemieg; on the contrary, he has my utmost respect. I have supported him, albeit modestly, since June 2022. He is a remarkable example of consistency and reliability, in addition to his great artistic ability, which I find truly unique.
Yes, I played S.R. Chapter 1, which covers the first two weeks of the game. The differences in structure are the remastering of the CG and animations, the game switching from Sandbox to VN, and the incorporation of the two kinetic paths. So the player can play in three ways.
The chapters can be played one after the other or individually, and the corruption, purity, and exhibitionism statistics are stored in the next chapter, for a total of 4 chapters, i.e., 8 weeks.
The differences in the plot are that there is no more blackmail or rape. Laura decides to do things, but she is not forced to do them. Let's say that the compromising photos appear, not at the hands of BB, who used to show them to Laura personally, but instead someone else posts them. To give you an example, what was a rape when Laura goes to look for Adolf in Pliccadide and is raped by the two guys changes into two choices: 1) Laura remembers the password, so she gets away unscathed. 2) Laura fake to forget the password, but at the end of the scene she says she wanted to see how far she could push it.
I think the work behind all this to make the game more commercial is enormous, and even though I'm sorry as an old fan of the previous version, which I played when it was still an RPG, this new one isn't so bad.

Ah, so that's how he's handling it. Interesting. Of course the changes were necessary for Steam and Patreon, even if they vitiate the impact of the game a bit. Such is life.

Yeah, sadly, the game has been toned down, especially for Steam, but also for Patreon. I'm bummed that artists can't express themselves however they want to protect their work and get more visibility.
It's interesting that this game is toned down but some games with fucking animals aren't, which tells me that someone warned the dev.

What I don't like is that he split the game into four parts on Steam, treating them as if they were four separate games rather than DLCs.

I would have preferred it to be a bit more expensive and divided into no more than two parts, but never mind, anything to support Nemiegs a little more :HideThePain:(y)!
