Okay, just gonna post a quick update. I'll just start off with good news, well not like I have any bad news. Progress has been much quicker than I imagined.
I won't go into details too much, basically theres the prologue and 8 chapters, chapters 1-6 are the main story, chapter 7 is true route stuff and chapter 8 is epilogue stuff, nothing text heavy. After finishing up for today, I have just finished chapter 6, chapter 7 should take atmost a week to finish, but most likely less. As to how I handled SL5, I've decided to focus on the story maps first so I can get a better idea of the relationships between the characters and follow the story coherently to make the translation better, since in 5 you were on map 40, then immediately went to like 389in the first chapter. But yeah, as of now,out of the 580? maps the game has, I've translated roughly 160 in the last two weeks, plus the items and armour files, as well as half translating the weapon and skills (only done the names so far) since they show up as loot in treasure chests. It'sa little early totell when I finish it, but if I had to guess, I think i may have itdone by the middle of February. I know I've still got a lot of maps left, but since a lot of the story maps are done, most of the dialogue heavy ones are already done, and the dungeon ones wont need much, if any translating at all, the ones that do are probably the town maps. Anyway, once I've got it finished, I will be going through the story myself once before I release it, since I want to edit the scripts file (which ends up breaking the game) so I'd rather get that done before I release it.
Now ima vent a little bit.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THESE CHARACTERS, I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE MAIN CAST IS ALL ONII-CHAN THIS, ONEE-SAN THAT, I MEAN I GET IT CONSIDERING THE HISTORY OF THE STARTING VILLAGE BUT FUCKING HELL, IT WAS SUCH A PAIN FIGURING OUT WHO THEY'RE FUCKING REFERRING TO AT FIRST. AND THEN YOU GET EVEN MORE CHARACTERS THAT AREN'T FROM THE VILLAGE, LIKE ETRA ADDING TO THE GOD DAMN ONEE-CHAN CAST! GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!
Anyway yeah, now that I'm done venting, I'll post the next update in a month. I manage to get about 1000 lines done a day, so even the commonevents file, which has all the H-Scene lines, should take around 2 weeks to finish (I think it had 14000 lines). Hopefully I should be able to provide a better idea on when I'll finish it on the next update. I'm also disappointed theres no Iris route in the game, only Emily and Kanna but I had a feeling it would only be those two since they're on the DLsite page.
