Has the corruption aspect progressed in the last year or so? The last time I was here, she allowed a guard to touch her, and that was it.

Very much yes, game's almost done and the endgame on Earth is a nonstop fuckfest while Roya has several daddies for Aura and some of the others. Just takes a long time to get to that point.

Save editing worked for me, for whatever its worth. Occasionally a scene won't play back properly or has some other weirdness and I'd like to know if there's something in the save that's broken or if it's the scene, but as you said, playing through the entire corruption story properly is a pretty daunting task at this point.
For example, here's some things I noticed in the new scenes of 0.45.0:
- After playing the Tan 1 scene, Aura's sprite stops animating while walking in the Recollection Rooms.
- After playing the Voting Encouragement scene (either version) Aura's Recollection Rooms sprite is replaced with the bunny outfit sprite.
- The Charlotte 3 scene stops playing when a "Lumerian Representative" is supposed to be entering or walking up.

Play it normally on Normal difficulty, treating it as a standard JRPG that gets lewd eventually. Don't follow a guide (they're never fully up to date anyway), but check the

whenever you get stuck not knowing what to do on a quest. Don't aim for full lewd, it'll ruin the MC before the endgame. A virgin run is likewise also harder than a partially lewd playthrough, but more stable. Having a slime and just feeding it your leftover materials makes the game a lot easier (at the cost of tying up a bunch of mana), but slimeless is also doable.

I would like to add to it.
First consider what you want to play, A Porn Game or an RPG game. If you want porn, pick Explorer or Easier mode and then just enjoy the game. There is only 1 early tip for porn route watch early lewd scenes in 1-2 days and then don't see them for 17-20 days to get the first masturbation scene.
If you want to play RPG game pick normal mode and follow Pretentious Goblin comment. Mix some lewd scenes but don't go full lewd as he said. And focus on Slime, I tried slime less and it was quite difficult. Had to remove the collar in some close fights and get more blessed waters.
why does being lewd ruin the character? are we talking from a writing point where she behaves inconsistently? or from a gaming point were the lewdness makes her weak?

The latter. Lots of effects that wreak havoc on Willpower, which leads to reduced stats. Lots of incoming Corruption too, which can lead to a Game Over if it overcomes the ability to spend it on mental changes (and also itself reduces Willpower). Also the later mental changes cause frequent debuffs.
With partial lewdness, you'll have some instability, but you'll have good days without debuffs when you can stack buffs and items and make good progress.

Its like this, You need low will power to get the pink versions of the lewd scenes, basically enhanced lewd scenes. And how do you get the low will power, one way is to use drugs. And if you don't use drugs repeatedly you will get a debuff. And if you have low willpower you also gets severe debuffs. All this make the game impossible to play in normal and higher mode.
So how could easier difficulty work here? Answer is simple too. There is no game over if corruption reaches the limit so you can use Ultimate move which increases corruption again and again.
To be clear, by "partially lewd" we really just mean to make sure you are making decent progress in Roya in addition to the lewd scenes. Basically, don't just spend days doing nothing but lewd scenes in Roya, because you can't get past a certain corruption level in only chapter 1 Roya, and the late-game (chapter 3 corruption) has some pretty nasty debuffs that makes it difficult to progress in Roya (to see Roya corruption content if nothing else).
so it is a mechanical debuff then. hmm. I guess I will cheat.

go for story mode if you don't want to bother too much, if you want more or less of a challenge hard mode is fine, you'll have to manage well what you do each day, in this case I recommend the power of the necklace in very specific cases, for example there's a ridiculously strong boss in the forest early in the adventure, and save lewd scenes to replenish willpower, there are lewd scenes that help in the adventure like discounts in stores that are better to have them before the rest save them for when you need them.

Yeah play it as you like. I played game as RPG and missed many lewd scenes so will play again while going full crazy about them. This game even has an option to remove lewd content or images so you better believe that there are many who would love to play it just like a normal RPG, not as an Adult game. And its fine too.

It's fine, but playing it without the lewdness loses the whole point of the play.
While I understand that, it feels weird. Kinda like wanting to play Rance without H elements.
