Overview:
You play as Nova, a young Terran girl desperate to leave her life as an outer-rim moisture farmer behind. Along with her android companion H8-TR (Hater), she decides to enlist in the Federation military and do her part in the galaxy spanning war against the Tauri. There's only one problem... The nearest recruiting station is literally on the other side of the planet and they can't afford the trip. Star Lust: Hymn of the Precursors follows Nova as she works odd jobs in the desert town of Mar Tyro, and in the process, discovers she holds the key to controlling an ancient and awe-inspiring power that could change the course of the war.​

If the overview is anything to go by, the influences here are taken from Star Wars and StarCraft, with a sprinkle of Stargate and Star Trek.

That's a lotta stars.

The game currently doesn't have all that much going for it, but what's there is pretty good for a version 0.1. It's definitely in the top 30% of 0.1 games I've seen.

The Good: There are about 6 scenes currently in the game you can access, and there are some variations and choices already. The scenes themselves are interesting, but nothing really worth fapping to, yet. There's currently only one actual sex scene, at the very beginning, and the PC is only in it as a voyeur, unfortunately.

The Bad: One of the current major characters is blacked out with a literal placeholder in it, which can get really annoying if something like that starts happening more often in future updates. Between scenes you have nothing to do except doing a little work, but most of that can be skipped through, as usual. It's still a little tedious though. Also, backgrounds in talk scenes are currently really blurred, so you only really see the characters in detail.

As it is, for a 0.1 it's better than most, but if it doesn't get updated regularly, interest will surely be lost.

Something about the MC's face makes me feel really unsettled. Game sounds interesting, I'll hold off for now and give it a go when it's more fleshed out.

The presence of an aryan man makes me feel hopeful about the game too.

I was bored and thought I'm going to review the first game I see. So I played Star Lust v0.1 and I clearly did not play a game, I speed clicked through an artist learning Ren'py... Which is fine I guess, we all start off somewhere. But this game did not need to be released now.

Okay, positives first; This Artist has potential and I like the semi science fiction theme he's going for. I smell a comic book artist here and I think when he adds more characters and locations this game will hold your interest. Music fits the game really nice, good job on picking a good song. I closed my eyes on the Main Menu and started fantasizing about an epic porn adventure this game could be. I also like the name icon font and world map, I look forward to exploring more of it and new locations. Also the way the game starts is perfect. A simple text story set up like Star Wars and off to the galaxy we go, or desert should I say. The game takes place on a Dune like planet so far. I love how he picked Hater to be the male characters name (I played Metal Gear bro I know me some David Hayter when I see him.) The story has potential as well but I just couldn't help myself to speed click through a lot of it, I got the gist of it but too much Chuffah (Google: Getting Rid of the Chuffa. It's a Kevin Smith skit where he talks about Bruce Willis and how he always wants to get to the point and skip the bullshit parts in the script.) This game has a lot of Chuffah in it..

Alright on to the negatives. As I said this "game" has a lot of Chuffah in it and it will force you to speed click through it cause god damn, Chuffah. Don't get me wrong the writing is good, it's just too much filler stuff for my liking. For you it might further immerse you in the world, but as of now, there is no world, their's one imagemap and three locations to go to. Camp, Bar, Town Center and Home if you can even call it that, he should have just called it NEXT. Anyways, For now he blurs the world map and uses that as his backgrounds when characters are interacting, fail, each character should have their own unique background. (This is why you don't release v0.1 games) When the PLACEHOLDER Bar tender character showed up I chuckled cause omg, I've never seen a silhouette of a character with the text PLACEHOLDER written across his chest. lmao! And you interact with him quite a bit, He should just leave it like that I loved it. lol. But then the freaking character from He-Man shows up (freak Star Wars that little shit is from He-Man first) and I started laughing. Oh no, Oh no no no. He goes off screen to jerk off and it was at that point I decided to keep my eye on this game. I just, I have a weird feeling this game might have something. Clearly it has nothing now but yeah..

Eventually the "game" devolves into clicking the bar on the image map, a text appears that says you earned a random amount of money. you click the home button, time progress to the next day and you do that over and over again until the placeholder character appears telling you to strip for the He-Man character at his camp. Orko was it's name on He-Man Masters of the Universe BTW. And that's pretty much it for version 0.1. Nothing, absolutely nothing. There's one sex image of Hater and the Egyptian chick fucking doggy style that I could see but if there's more, oh well, guess I missed it.

I'm not going to give this a score, your dick will not leave your pants for this one, maybe a pity jerk but only three thrusts max. Keep an eye on this one but version 0.1 is a barren desert with only a whisper in the wind of it being a game.

Ahh, version 0.1 games. You've gotta love 'em.


WARNING: Better ease up on the chuffah bro and start getting to the point (aka naked girls) or this game won't even get a Blue Balls score, we're looking at a potential Frozen Scrotum here.

I played through it and enjoyed how it gradually took a 'virgin' and slowly introduced her to her sensuality...but not very far...<sad> It hints at much more powerful stuff to come if she gets this magical ability to control things (from what? getting turned on??) so that better be usable and she should get a lot more depraved or this will end up lame... Liked the one sex scene...but as already said, it needs a ton more. If the Dev. is planning on a lot more characters, better make some fems and also, develop the ones you've got. Ok, it 'smells' great as a 0.01... let's see if it 'lifts off' or 'falls flat' on ver 0.02 cheereo :)

Ok I just finished ver 0.02 and even with the limited h scenes I found it fun. This update expands the basic game tremendously and add fighting, blowjobs, twerking, titflashing some animation and new characters. It did take a bit of 'grinding' in adding all the items like 'artefacts' --which btw, you're supposed to be able to sell at the store but did not work for me (zero worth) Its been pointed out that there are not enough sex for fapping (no hardcore yet) to satisfy most guys but the art is cool, the music background is good, the story seems like it is going someplace and it kept my interest. Also, it seemed to be fairly bug free which was nice. Oh I liked changing the girl's outfits but it didn't seem to get me much except when expeditioning in the desert. So at one point the Dev is going to have to make a decision whether he is going to get into serious porn or ease back and make it a 'R' rated game like 'starlight drifter'.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it so far. It still has a long way to go and I really appreciate you taking the time to give some thoughts on how it can be improved. I never had the zero value bug in my testing so thanks for catching that! I'll take a look. I'm aiming to add way more in the sex department for 0.3, as well as tweak outfits/stats to be far more meaningful in terms of gameplay so stay tuned for that :) Cheers

It's Monday! So let's just get right to it cause holy Omnissiah this is a busy time of the year.
Progress is cruising steadily along setting up the new characters and their associated jobs/mini events. A lot more sex scenes this time around at various stages of planning but no art to show off until January. This last week of December is way too busy for everyone involved, just keeping it real!
Background art though is moving along nicely with 1 of 4 pieces complete and another about half way done.
Coding side is chugging along as well. I'm reasonably happy with the progress I'm making on 0.3 so far but definitely still a ways to go. I'd say I'm on track though with my internal schedule (fingers crossed it stays that way!). Will be posting more fun things like art sneak peaks in the new year because people prefer that to coding status updates, let's be honest.
Okay, I got up early to write this because I love you guys but I better head off to work! Happy Holidays everyone! :)
